유아교육기관장의 학습공동체 참여 경험의 의미

국문 초록

연구 목적은 유아교육기관장의 학습공동체 참여 경험의 의미를 살펴보는 것이다. 연구 참여자는J학습공동체에 시작부터 끝까지 15년간 계속 참여한 유치원 원장 1명과 어린이집 원장 1명이다. 연구 자료는면담 자료와, 연구 참여자 저널, 연구자 저널이다. 연구방법은 내러티브 탐구 방법으로, 자료 분석을 위해현장텍스트 만들기, 중간연구텍스트 만들기, 연구텍스트 만들기의 과정을 거쳤다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 원장의 원 운영에 실질적인 변화를 가져왔다. 둘째, 지속가능한 지역사회를 위한 협력과정에 원장들이주도적 참여를 하게 되었다. 셋째, 유아교육전문가로서 원장의 자신감과 전문적 역량이 강화되었다. 넷째, 학습공동체 원장들 간에 삶의 평생 동반자 관계가 형성되었다. 본 연구는 우리나라 유아교육 현장에서 아직 그 시도가 미미한 원장 학습공동체의 가능성을 보여주고 그 참여 의미를 제시하였다는 점에서 의의 있다고 본다. 끝으로 추후 연구 과제를 3가지 측면에서 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the experiences of the directors of early childhood education institutions that had participated in a learning community. The study participants consisted of one kindergarten director and one daycare center director who had been part of the J Learning Community from its inception to its end over the course of 15 years. The research data included interview transcripts and journals of the research participants and the researchers. Using the narrative inquiry method, data from field texts, intermediate research texts, and finally research texts were analyzed. The findings of the study are as follows. Firstly, the learning community brought about significant changes to institutional management for the directors. Secondly, the learning community allowed them to participate actively in a cooperative process for a sustainable community. Thirdly, the professional competencies of the directors as early childhood education experts and their confidence were strengthened. Lastly, the participants formed strong lifelong relationships among the members of the learning community. From these results, it is suggested that there is potential and significant meaning in learning communities, which have not yet been put in place in the field of early childhood education in Korea. Future research in three different aspects was suggested.
