온라인으로 진행된 전공수업에 대한 예비유아교사의 인식과 만족도

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 온라인으로 진행된 전공수업에 대한 예비유아교사의 인식과 만족도를 알아보는데 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해, 3년제와 4년제 대학의 유아교육과 학생 290명을 대상으로 코로나-19 상황에서 온라인으로 설문조사를 하였다. 본 자료는 SPSS WIN 24.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 다중회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 예비유아교사가 현재 선호하는 수업은 대면 수업과 비대면 수업 중 비대면으로 진행되는 온라인 수업이었으며, 온라인 수업 실행 시에 효과가 낮은 수업은 전공실기수업으로 나타났다. 실시간 온라인 수업의 장점으로는 장소의 제약 없이 들을 수 있어 좋다는 응답이, 단점으로는 서버 불안이나 기기의 문제에 따라 접속 문제가 발생한다는 응답이 가장 높게 나타났다. 향후 전공수업에서 요구하는 수업 방식으로는 출석과 녹화식 혼용수업이 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 실시간 온라인 수업에서 예비유아교사의 전공수업에 대한 만족도가 높은 항목은 강의자료의 적절성, 낮은 항목은 동기부여와 상호작용으로 나타났다. 셋째, 예비유아교사들이 온라인 수업을 선호할수록 전공수업의 만족도가 높았으나 예비유아교사의 학년은 전공수업 만족도에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 향후 포스트 코로나 시대 및 테크놀로지 기반 사회변화에 따른 대학교육의 질적 변화를 위하여 유아교육과에서 온라인으로 진행되는 전공수업의 질 개선을 위한 기초자료를 제공한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate preservice teachers’ perceptions of and satisfactions with online major classes. The subjects of this study were 290 students in early childhood education in three- and four-year universities, who were surveyed online under the context of COVID-19. The data were analyzed through frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS WIN 24.0. The results of the study showed that early childhood teachers currently prefer having non-face-to-face remote classes, reporting the reduced effectiveness of the major laboratory classes when conducted online. The survey’s results were as follows: First, the students felt that the best advantage of having real-time online classes was an ease of access from any location, but that the largest downside of online classes was connection problems resulting from server instability or technical issues. Students reported that they would mostly prefer a mixed format of attendance classes and recording classes. Second, preservice early childhood teachers showed a high level of satisfaction in the appropriateness of class materials, but low levels of satisfaction in motivation and interaction. Third, the preservice teachers that preferred online classes showed higher satisfaction, while the grade levels had no effect on their class satisfactions. The results of the study provides implications for improving the quality of online major courses of early childhood teacher education within the context of Covid-19 and the technology-based society.
