가족상담사의 역전이 경험 연구: 근거이론 접근으로

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 가족상담사의 역전이 경험의 구조와 과정을 심층적이고 체계적으로 이해하여, 역전이 경험에 대한 하나의 실체이론을 개발하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 10년 이상의 임상경험과 한국가족치료학회의 부부가족상담전문가 1급 및 2 급 자격을 취득한 가족상담사 12명과 심층 면담한 자료를 Strauss와 Corbin(2001)의 근거이론 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 개방코딩 결과 255개의 개념, 71개의 하위범주와 21개의 범주가 도출되었으며, 이들 범주 간의 관계를 패러다임 모형으로 제시하였다. 가족상담사의 역전이 경험을 다루는 과정은 자각단계, 숙고단계, 통찰과 이해단계, 통합단계, 숙달단계이었으며, 이 과정에서 반복적으로 나타나는 패턴을 자기 점검형, 내담자 반영형, 자기감정 개방형으로 유형화하였다. 이를 통해 가족상담사의 역전이 경험은 중립성 유지와 관련되며, 부부나 가족의 대인관계적인 측면뿐 아니라 심리내적인 측면을 동시에 이해할 수 있는 자료임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 가족상담사의 역전이 활용방식은 역전이 개념에 대한 이해와 밀접한 관련이 있었다. 앞으로 가족상담사의 역전이 경험에 대해 더 많은 연구와 논의가 요구된다.

영문 초록

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to provide an in-depth and systematic understanding of the structure and process of countertransference experiences of family counselors, and to develop a substantial theory on the countertransference experience. Methods: The Grounded Theory method was applied to in-depth interviews with 12 participants who had more than 10 years of clinical experience with 1st or 2nd class licenses issued from the Korean Association of Family Therapy. Results: 255 concepts, 71 subcategories and 21 categories were derived with open coding. The relationship between these categories was presented as a paradigm model. Through process analysis the following five stages were found: aware, contemplate, get insight and understanding, integrate, and master. Selective coding further identified three types: monitoring-self, reflecting-client, and opening-self feelings. Conclusions: It was found that the countertransference experience of family counselors was associated with maintaining neutrality, prefacing an understanding of inner psychological aspects as well as interpersonal relations among family members. Results suggest that more studies and discussions may be required surrounding the countertransference experience of family counselors.
