청소년의 스마트폰 의존과 삶의 만족도: 부모의 양육태도와 청소년의 신체증상의 순차적 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년의 스마트폰 의존, 청소년이 지각한 부모의 양육태도, 청소년의 신체증상, 청소년의 삶의 만족도가 어떤 구조적 관계를 가지는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 우선 청소년의 스마트폰 의존이 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 또한, 청소년의 스마트폰 의존과 삶의 만족도의 관계에서 부모의 양육태도와 청소년의 신체증상 각각의 매개효과를 검증하고, 또한 부모의 양육태도와 청소년의 신체증상의 순차적 매개효과도 검증하고자 했다. 이를 위해 한국아동․청소년 패널조사(KCYPS) 2018년 1차년도 자료 중 중학교 1학년 학생 2,590명 자료를 SPSS 23.0과 Mplus 8을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 청소년의 스마트폰 의존은 삶의 만족도에 부적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 부모의 양육태도는 청소년의 스마트폰 의존이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 매개하였다. 청소년의 신체증상 또한 청소년의 스마트폰 의존이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 청소년의 스마트폰 의존이 삶의 만족도에 영향을 주는 구조 관계에서 부모의 양육태도와 청소년의 신체증상의 순차적 매개효과가 유의하게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 청소년의 스마트폰 의존을 감소시키기 위한 가족지원 프로그램의 개발과 청소년의 신체증상에 초점을 둔 개입의 중요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives: This study examines the structural relations among adolescents’ smartphone dependence, perceived parenting attitudes, the adolescents’ somatic symptoms, and life satisfaction. Methods: The authors investigated whether adolescents’ smartphone dependence predicted their life satisfaction. Also, the authors examined whether perceived parenting attitudes and somatic symptoms respectively and sequentially mediated the relation between smartphone dependence and life satisfaction of the adolescents. The sample consisted of 2,590 adolescents from the Korean Children and Youths Panel Survey (KCYPS) data in 2018. The adolescents were in the first grade of middle school. The data were analyzed using Mplus and SPSS. Results: The results showed that the adolescents’ smartphone dependence negatively influenced their life satisfaction. Perceived parenting attitudes and the adolescents’ somatic symptoms respectively mediated the relations between smartphone dependence and life satisfaction. Perceived parenting attitudes and the adolescents’ somatic symptoms sequentially mediated the relation between smartphone dependence and life satisfaction. Conclusions: The implication of this study focuses on the importance of family practices and intervention regarding adolescents’ smartphone dependence and the development of family programs reducing adolescents’ somatic symptoms.
