국문 초록

앞으로의 사회는 기계가 대체할 수 없는 인간 고유의 능력이 요구된다. 남을 이해하고 공감하며 타인과 협력, 소통하는 의사소통능력은 미래사회에서 요구되는 인간 고유의 능력이다. 특히 미술감상활동을 통한 의사소통의 경험은 학습자가 작품에 대한 인지적, 정서적 측면을 표현하며 타인을 이해한다는 측면에서 유의미한 효과가 있을 것이다. 작품을 감상하면서 언어뿐만 아니라 움직임 기법을 통한 소통의 경험은 활발한 신체활동을 즐기는 초등 학생에게 적합할 것이다. 이에 Weisberg(2006)의 MMT(Museum Movement Technique)에서 제시한 5가지의 움직임기법을 바탕으로 작품 감상을 위한 프로그램을 설계하여 교수학습 활동을 진행하고, 과정에서 나타난 학습자의 움직임과 대화를 분석하였다. 이 프로그램을 통하여 학생들은 의사소통역량의 정보수집에 해당하는 미술감상 활동에서 지각적 감수성과 추론능력이 향상되었다. 그리고 의사소통역량의 기능인 자기표현과 감상적 수용, 가치 태도적 측면인 타인 이해, 의사소통의 적극성 등도 향상됨을 보였다.

영문 초록

Society in the future requires human-specific abilities that machines cannot replace. The ability to understand, empathize, cooperate, and communicate with others as human abilities is very important. According to Coleman (1995), communication skills can be improved by experience and education. Therefore, it is thought that art appreciation activities in elementary school, when there is a limit to expressing one s thoughts in language, could be a significant way to develop communication skills through not only aesthetic experiences but also art works as a medium. While appreciating the work, we think that students could express their feelings or thoughts about the work through nonverbal activities as well as language and review the possibility of combining it with movement according to the development stage of students who enjoy active physical activities. Thus, based on the five museum movement techniques presented in Weisberg (2006) s MMT, we design a program for appreciating works, develop sixth lessons, and analyze learners movements and conversations that appeared during the activity for communicative ability. Through this program, students have improved their visual sensitivity and reasoning skills in art appreciation activities, which correspond to the collection of information in their communication skills. It also showed that self-expression and emotional acceptance, value attitude, understanding others, and active communication, which are functions of communication skills.
