국문 초록

초등 미술과 교육과정에서 감상능력과 비평능력이 점차 중시되면서, 최근 미술관과 박물관은 학부형과 어린이관람객들을 상대로 한 교육프로그램의 개발 등, 그 교육적 기능이 더욱 활성화되고 있다. 이에 부응하여 예비교사양성을 목적으로 하는 교육대학의 박물관도, 변화된 문화 환경 속에서 보다 다양하고 구체적인 교육적 기능과 역할을 담당해야 하는 시대적 요구에 직면해 있다. 그러나 현재 우리나라 교육대학교의 박물관들은 이러한 역할과 기능을 거의 수행하고 있지 못한 실정이며 운영상태도 상당히 부진한 상태이다. 이에 본 연구는, 전국교육대학교의 교육박물관 활성화를 위해 광주교육대학교 ‘교육박물관’의 현황을 중심으로 전국 교육대학교 교육박물관의 현상을 진단하고, 향후 발전을 위한 해법과 개선책을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 본고에서는 문헌연구와 국내 주요 교육박물관(일부)의 탐방·조사연구를 병행해서 실시하였고, 그 과정에서 교육박물관운영 및 관리·교육활용 실태 등을 고찰하였다. 연구의 결과, 각 지역적 특성을 살린 교육박물관의 발전을 위한 9가지 개선책을 도출하여 제안하였다.

영문 초록

There has been an increased concern with art gallery and museum education in elementary education. This has happened according to the increased importance of criticism and appreciation capability in the curriculum of elementary art education. However, the museums in national university of educations are not capable of fulfilling these needs of schooling. The purpose of this study was to diagnose the realities and problems of the education museums of the national university of educations, and to suggest the revitalized methods of the education museum. The research methods implemented were literature review, field research in art museums, and survey on management and educational activities of the museums. Based on the result, the revitalization methods of the education museum has been suggested as follows: increasing the budget of management, enlargement of space and facilities, introducing the scientific methods for maintenance and perseverance, securing the human resources, constructing the DB and network among museums, opening home page, establishing an academic society and publishing the related journal, increasing the educational activities articulated with curriculum, and opening the educational programs for the local community.
