스토리텔링 미술교육이 청각장애학생의 학습태도에 미치는 사례연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 스토리텔링 미술교육이 청각장애학생의 학습태도에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위하여 사례연구로 수행되었다. 고등학교에서 통합교육을 받고 있는 청각장애학생 2명이 참여하였다. 연구 참여자 2명은 모두 인공와우를 착용하고 있으며, 스토리텔링 미술교육 프로그램에 2년 1개월 동안 참여하였다. 스토리텔링 미술교육 프로그램은 세 단계, 20개 학습주제에 대하여 80회기로 구성되었다. 매 회기는 50분 동안 진행되었으며, 자료는 프로그램 진행 후의 결과물과 개인면담, 그리고 연구자의 직접관찰 및 현장노트 등으로 수집하였다. 개인면담 및 현장 노트 기록에 기초한 청각장애학생의 스토리텔링 미술교육 적용에 따른 학습태도에 미치는 영향은 흥미유발, 창의적 사고의 확장, 교사의 역할로 주제가 분류되었다. 스토리텔링 미술교육은 청각장애학생의 흥미유발에 영향을 제공한 가장 큰 요인은 시각적 단서로 분석되었다. 청각장애학생의 창의적 사고 확장은 보고 그리는 단순 행위가 아닌 인과관계를 분석하고 사고할 수 있는 능력 신장과 관련되었다. 청각장애학생의 특성을 고려한 교사의 수업은 청각장애학생의 언어적 및 비언어적 활동을 촉진시킬 수 있었다. 이 연구에서는 청각장애학생의 언어적 사고를 통한 고등사고기능의 확장에 대하여 시사점을 제공하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted as a case study to investigate the effect of storytelling art education on the learning attitudes of students with hearing impairment. Two students with hearing impairment receiving inclusive education at high school participated. Both participants of the study were wearing cochlear implants, and participated in the storytelling art education program for 2 years and 1 month. The storytelling art education program consisted of 80 sessions in three stages and 20 learning topics. Each session lasted for 50 minutes, and data were collected through the results of the program, personal interviews, direct observation of the researcher, and field notes. The themes were categorized into interest induction, creative thinking expansion, and teacher s role as the effect of the application of storytelling art education on the learning attitude of deaf students based on personal interviews and on-site note recording. Storytelling art education was analyzed by visual cues as the biggest factor that contributed to the interest induction of students with hearing impairment. The expansion of creative thinking of the students with hearing impaired was not related to the simple act of looking and drawing but related to the improvement of the ability to analyze and think in causal relationships. The teacher s instruction considering the characteristics of the deaf student could promote the verbal and non-verbal activities of the deaf student. This study provides implications for the expansion of high-level thinking skills through verbal thinking of deaf students.
