국문 초록

이 연구는 시간에 대한 이론과 미술 작품 속에 반영된 시간을 분석하여 미술교육의폭과 깊이를 넓히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 미술은 삶을 표현하는 것이다. 삶은 시간 속에 존재한다. 그러므로 미술은 시간을 표현하고 있다. 미술에 대한 깊은 이해는 시간에 대한 이해를 필수적으로 요구한다. 그래서 시간에 대한 관점을 절대적 시간, 상대적 시간, 관계적 시간으로 구분하였다. 먼저 절대적 시간을 설명하기 위하여 아리스토텔레스와 뉴턴의 철학을 빌려 제시하였고, 상대적 시간은 라이프니츠와 아인슈타인의철학을 빌려 제시하였으며, 관계적 시간은 베르그송과 하이데거의 철학을 빌려 제시하였다. 그리고 미술에서 시간의 표현은 평면과 입체로 구분하여 제시하였다. 절대적 시간의 시각적 표현은 인상주의와 대지미술을 제시하였고, 상대적 시간은 미래주의와 키네틱아트로 제시하였으며, 관계적 시간의 표현은 표현주의와 인터액티브 아트로 제시하여 시간 인식과 시간의 시각적 표현의 연계성을 제시하였다. 이와 같은 시간에 대한이론과 표현을 제시하고 그 연관성을 밝히는 것은 미술교육에서 시간에 대한 통합적접근을 유도할 수 있기 때문이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to broaden the range and increase the depth of art education by analyzing theories of time and the time reflected on artworks. Art expresses life; life exists within time and space. Therefore, art expresses time. An in-depth understanding of art requisitely demands an understanding of time. This study divided the perspectives of time into absolute time,relative time, and erelational time. The philosophies of Aristoteles and I. Newton were quoted and presented to explain absolute time; the philosophies of G. W. Leibniz and A. Einstein to explain relative time; and the philosophies of H. Bergson and M. Heidegger to explain relational time. Moreover, expression of time in art was divided into plane and solid. Visual expression of absolute time was presented with Impressionism and Mobile Art. Relative time with Futurism and Kinetic Art; and relational time with Expressionism and Interactive Art, displaying connectivity between time recognition and visual expression of time. Presenting such theories and expressions of time and clarifying its connectivity can lead to an integrated approach of time in art education.
