국문 초록

본 연구에서는 미술과 교육과정의 미술문화 이해능력과 자기 주도적 미술학습능력과 관련하여 초등학교 학생들의 일상 경험으로서 수집과 참여적 전시의 기획행위를 교육적 시각에서 바라보고자 한다. 본 연구는 학생들이 개인적으로 모아온 수집품을 전시하는 단계적 활동을 거쳐 본교 ‘꿈빛미술관’에서 ‘넌 뭘 수집하니?’ 전시회를 개최하는 것으로 시작되었다. 학생들이 전시를 준비하면서 미술관의 성격과 기능, 개인이나 미술관에게 수집품이 갖는 특별한 의미와 가치, 그리고 오브제를 이용한 전시 스토리텔링 등에 대해 생각해 보고, 학교 내 참여적 전시를 기획하도록 하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 경기도에 소재하는 초등학교 5학년 120명의 학생들을 대상으로 2017년 3월부터 2017년 9월까지 총 6개월간 진행되었다. 연구방법으로 학생들의 활동과정을 들여다보기 위해 참여관찰을 하였고, 수집과 전시에 대한 설문지 조사 그리고 전시회를 관람한 학생들과도 심층 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 수집은 삶이 투영된 심미적 행위, 앎의 지향적 행위 그리고 선택을 통한 창조적 행위라는 의미를 가지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 전시와 관련하여, 스토리텔링으로서 전시 기획, 기억의 공간으로서 전시장의 의미를 발견하였으며, 이러한 전시 행위의 전 과정은 결국 커뮤니케이션의 확장임을 확인할 수 있었다. 미술관에서 체험과 참여의 관점에서 볼 때, 학생들의 일상적 문화로서 수집 그리고 전시 행위의 전 과정은 개인적 참여에서 사회적 참여로 나아가는 성장의 과정임을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 학생들은 일상의 경험에서 출발하여 학교교육과 미술관교육의 연계선상에서 미술관 문화를 경험하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 미술관에 대한 이해와 관심을 확장할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the collecting and exhibition practices from the viewpoint of education as the everyday experiences of elementary school students in relation to arts and culture understanding ability and selfdirected arts learning ability of arts education curriculum. In preparing for the exhibition What are you collecting? , the character and function of the museum, the special meaning and value of the collection to the individual or the museum, and the exhibition storytelling using the object are considered to experience planning an exhibition of participatory museums in the school. For this purpose, 120 students from Grade 5 in Gyeonggi-do were gathered to exhibit a long-term collection of their collections. After the step-by-step activities of collecting and exhibition practices, the exhibition What are You Collecting? were held at our GgumBich Museum. The research period lasted from March 2017 to September 2017 for a total of six months. The research method was to observe the students life culture and students overall activities, and also conducted in-depth interviews with students who visited the exhibition and the survey of the collection and exhibition. Based on this, the educational meanings of collecting, exhibition practices and participation were analyzed. The aesthetic experience through exhibitions conducted through collecting and linking activities found in our lives forms a network with objects in museums and galleries to observe the whole process of preparing for exhibitions as an occasion to grow from personal participation to social participation. Through this exhibition process, students will experience the culture of art museum in the line of school education and museum education starting from everyday experience, and expect to continue to expand understanding and interest on art museum based on this experience.
