초기 미술영재의 표현 유형에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 초기 미술영재 29명의 작업 과정 관찰 내용과 인터뷰 내용, 총 143개의 작품들을 분석하여 ‘스토리텔링형’, ‘실험형’, ‘구조형’, ‘패턴형’, ‘의미구현형’ 등 의 5가지 표현 유형을 제시하였다. 또한 각 유형별 특징을 ‘작품 구상 과정 및 소재와 의미, 제작 과정의 맥락, 매체의 선택과 활용, 형식의 양상, 작품 완성과 작품의 성공 정도’ 등의 범주에서 설명했다. 초기 미술영재들의 표현 유형은 개별적인 동기와 지향성을 보여주기 때문에 미술영재의 잠재성 발견뿐만 아니라 발현을 위한 적합한 교육 환경을 제공하는데 기초 자료가 된다. 초기 미술영재들의 표현 유형이 단일 유형으로만 나타나는 경우도 있었지만 2개 이상의 표현 유형이 동시에 복합적 또는 순차·순환적으로 나타나기도 했다. 이러한 현상은 초기 미술영재들의 잠재성이 내적 동기와 지향성의 변화에 따라 여러 표현 유형으로 변화될 가능성이 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the observations and interviews of 29 early art gifted children and 143 works. As a result, five types of representation such as ‘storytelling type’, ‘experimental type’, ‘structural type’, ‘pattern type’, and ‘meaningful type’ were presented. In addition, the characteristics of each type were categorized into ‘the process of conceiving the work, the material and meaning of the work, the context of the production process, the selection and use of the medium, the aspect of the form, the degree of completion of the work and the degree of success of the work.’ Since the representation on types of the early art gifted children show individual motivation and orientation, it becomes a basic material for providing an appropriate educational environment for the discovery of the potential of art gifted children as well as for their expression. Although there were cases where only a single type of representation appeared in the early art gifted children, most of the two or more representation types appeared in a complex, sequential, or cyclic manner. This phenomenon shows that there is a possibility that the potential of early art gifted children can be realized in a new form of representation with growth by the change of inner motivation and orientation, or by the development of representation types and combinations between types.
