공감각적 색채 체험을 통한 색채 감수성 신장 방안

국문 초록

현대 사회는 일상생활 속에서 다양한 색을 인지하고 자신의 의도에 알맞은 색을 선택하여 표현하는 능력을 요구한다. 색채의 감각은 시각, 청각, 후각, 미각, 촉각의 오감을 통해 뇌에서 의식된다. 사람마다 성향, 경험, 감성 등이 다르므로 오감을 통해 뇌로 전달된 색채는 사람에 따라 다르게 느껴진다. 공감각적 색채 체험은 다른 감각의 체험을 통해 색채를 연상하고, 반대로 색채를 지각한 후 다른 감각과 연상하는 체험을 포함한다. 공감각적 색채 체험을 통해 모든 감각 기관과 색채를 관련지어 지각하고 반응하는 습관을 길러, 일상생활 속에서 색채에 민감하게 반응할 수 있는 능력을 기를 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 초등학교 중학년을 대상으로 색채와 오감을 연결 짓는 공감각적 색채 체험을 개발하고, 이를 통해 색의 의미와 가치를 정리하여 활용할 수 있는 색채 감수성을 신장 방안을 연구하고자 한다. 공감각 및 공감각적 체험에 대하여 이론적으로 고찰하고, 색채 감수성의 개념 및 역량요소를 추출하여 공감각적 색채 체험을 개발하였다. 이를 초등학교 4학년 학생들을 대상으로 진행하여 초등학생의 색채 감수성 신장 효과를 검증하였다. 공감각적 색채 체험은 초등학생이 색을 인지하고, 색의 감성을 느끼고, 색을 연상하는 색채 감수성의 역량 요소를 함양하는 데에 있어 유의미한 효과를 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Modern society demands the ability to recognize various colors in daily life and select and express colors suitable for one s intention. The sense of color is conscious in the brain through the five senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Each person has different inclinations, experiences, and emotions, so the colors transmitted to the brain through the five senses feel different depending on the person. Synesthesia color experience involves reminiscent of colors through experiences of other senses, and on the contrary, involves the experience of perceiving colors and associating with other senses. Through the synesthesia of color experience, we can develop the ability to react sensitively to colors in everyday life by relating all sense organs and colors to perceive and react. Therefore, this study aims to develop a synesthesia color experience that connects colors and the five senses for the middle graders of elementary school, through which the meaning and value of colors can be summarized and used to study ways to enhance color sensibility. A synesthesia and synesthesia experience was theoretically examined, and the concept and competency elements of color sensibility were extracted to develop a synesthesia color experience. This was conducted for 4th grade elementary school students to verify the effect of enhancing the color sensibility of elementary school students. The synesthesia color experience was found to have a significant effect in cultivating the competencies of color sensibility that elementary school students perceive color, feel the sensibility of color, and associate color with color.
