국문 초록

본 연구는 알코올 의존증 노인의 웰다잉을 위한 모래상자치료 사례연구이다. 본 연구의 상담기간은 2018년 10월부터 2019년 1월까지 노인요양시설에서 의뢰되어 진행한 단일사례이며, 내담자는 알코올 의존증을 호소하는 82세의 할머니이다. 본 연구의 상담목표는 첫째, 모래상자치료는 내담자의 알코올 의존성향을 감소시킬 것인가? 둘째, 모래상자치료는 고독감과 대인관계 어려움이 있었던 노인들의 관계회복을 증진시킬 수 있는가?를 설정하였다. 본 내담자는 과거 너무 열심히 살았던 모습 회상, 고립감과 불안감 감소를 위해 알코올에 의존하게 되었다고 하였다. 습관성 알코올 의존증으로 요양시설 관계자와 찾아오는 가족들에게 공격성 및 분노행동으로 인해 대인관계가 급격히 어려워졌다고 하였다. 웰다잉 즉, 나이 듦과 죽음을 어떻게 고귀하고 존엄하게 맞이하고 준비할 수 있겠는가를 모래상자치료라는 매체를 활용하여 심리치료적인 접근을 제공하고자 하였다. 누구에게나 죽음은 피할 수 없지만 죽음을 삶의 일부분으로 숙명적으로 받아들이고 신께 의탁할 수 있을 때 보다 평안하게 지낼 수 있게 될 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 자아통합 및 대인관계 개선을 하도록 노인을 위한 프로그램으로써 모래상자치료와 같은 매체를 활용한 다양한 연구가 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study is a case study of sandtray therapy for well-dying in the elderly with alcohol dependence. The counseling period of this study was a single case requested and conducted in a nursing home for the elderly from October 2018 to January 2019, and the client was an 82-year-old grandmother complaining of alcohol dependence. The goal of this study is: First, will sandtray therapy reduce the client s alcohol dependence? Second, can the sandtray therapy improve the recovery of the relationship among the elderly who had a feeling of loneliness and interpersonal difficulties? This client said that she had become dependent on alcohol to recall her past lives too hard and to reduce feelings of isolation and anxiety. It was reported that interpersonal relations became rapidly difficult due to aggressive and anger behavior to nursing facility officials and families visiting due to habitual alcohol dependence. Well-dying, that is, how to greet and prepare for aging and death with nobility and dignity, was attempted to provide a psychotherapeutic approach using a medium called sandtray therapy. Death is inevitable for everyone, but you will be able to live more peacefully than when you can accept death as a fatal part of your life and rely on God. From this point of view, various studies using media such as sandtray therapy as a program for the elderly to improve self-integration and interpersonal relationships will be needed.
