재소자의 사회 및 인구학적 특성, 심리적 복지감, 자존감, 정서조절 및 에니어그램 성격유형과의 관계 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 출소를 앞둔 재소자를 대상으로 이들의 재범발생을 낮추기 위한 방안을 모색하는데 연구목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위하여 심리사회 관련적 요인의 관계를 분석하고 초범대상자와 재범대상자 간에 어떠한 특성의 차이점이 있는지를 살펴보았다. 심리적 복지감을 독립변수, 에니어그램 성격의 힘의 중심 사용을 종속변수로 두고, 자존감과 정서조절을 매개변인으로 두어 이들의 영향 관계를 검증하였다. 또한 사회인구학적 특성, 심리적 복지감, 에니어그램 성격의 힘의 중심 사용, 자존감, 정서조절에 대해 초범과 재범에 있어서 차이가 있는지를 살펴보았다. 주요 결과는 첫째, 사회인구학적 요인의 특성을 살펴 본 결과 성별을 제외한 모든 특성에서 두 집단 간 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 초범과 재범 간에 에니어그램 성격의 힘의 중심, 자존감, 심리적 복지감에서는 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 정서조절에서는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 심리적 복지감은 에니어그램 성격의 힘의 중심에 직접적 영향을 미치며, 자존감과 정서조절을 통해 간접적으로도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구에서는 출소를 앞둔 재소자의 심리적 복지감은 자존감과 정서조절에 영향을 미치며, 힘의 중심(감정, 행동, 사고) 에너지를 사용하는데 직접, 간접의 영향을 미치는 것을 밝혔다. 이를 통해 그들의 출소 후 사회적응과 재범을을 낮추는 요인으로 귀결될 수 있음을 시사하는데 본 연구의 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this article is to illuminate the methods to reduce the re-offending of prison inmates who serve out their sentences. To this end, the article first examined inmates psychosocial factors and differences among first and repeated offenders. Consecutively, the article analyzed how much an inmates psychological well-being influences the Enneagram power center, when setting up the inmates self-esteem and emotional regulation as moderating variables. The article also explored the effect of inmates psychological well-being on their personality characteristics. This article found the following: First, there were meaningful differences according to inmates socio-demographic characteristics. Second, the article confirmed significant differences between the first and repeated offenders in terms of their self-esteem, psychological well-being, and the Enneagram power center. Third, psychological well-being had a direct impact on the Enneagram power center. Accordingly, this article confirmed the critical impact of inmates psychological well-being on their self-esteem and emotion regulation. In addition, inmates psychological well-being affects the use of energy (emotion, action, thinking) and their social adaptation after disimprisonment. This article could provide meaningful implications to reduce the recidivism rate of inmates, through the analysis of the dynamic relationship among various psychology and personality-related variables.
