감정조절이 어려운 여성 한부모의 부모역할 수행에 대한 단일상담 사례연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 감정조절이 어려운 30대 후반 여성 한부모의 부모역할 수행을 돕기 위해 실시한 단일상담 사례연구이다. 연구 참여자는 남편과 별거 후, 자신의 감정조절 관련 어려움을 겪으면서 개인 상담을 통해 감정조절과 한부모 역할의 방법을 알기 원하였고 상담자는 참여자가 감정조절 문제를 갖게 된 배경을 파악하고, 감정조절 및 표현의 중요성 자각과 의사소통 변화를 통해 정서적 안정감을 찾고 건강한 여성 한부모 역할의 수행을 하도록 돕고자 하였다. 연구자는 참여자와 합의하여 1회기-5회기는 Satir상담도구로, 6회기-10회기는 Susan Boyan 과 Ann Marie Termini의 [이혼․별거 가정의 부모역할 기법] 부모용지침서(2009)의 부모교육 내용을 도구로 적용한 상담을 진행하였다. 상담의 진행 결과 참여자는 원가족에서 받은 상처와 비일치적 의사소통(생존)방식을 탐색하고, 점차 감정조절 및 감정표현의 중요성을 자각, 실천하게 된 것으로 분석되었다. 결론적으로 여성 한부모 역할을 원하는 30대 주부에게 제공된 개인 상담이 참여자의 감각, 정서 표현능력 향상에 도움이 되고 자기 자각과 수용, 자기조절 과정에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳐 한부모 역할 수행에 긍정적인 변화가 왔음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

This paper presents a single counseling case study on a single mother in her late thirties that had a difficult time with emotional control to help her with parenting roles. The participant experienced difficulties with controlling her emotions after separation from her husband and sought personal counseling to find ways to control her emotions and play her roles as a single parent. The counselor figured out the background for the participant s problems with emotional control and tried to help her restore her emotional stability and fulfill her roles as a healthy single mother by encouraging her to realize the importance of emotional control and expression and change her communication. After getting consent from the participant, the researcher used the Satir counseling tool in Sessions 1~5 and the content of parent education in Susan Boyan & Ann Marie Termini s Cooperative Parenting and Divorce(2003) in Sessions 6~10. As the counseling went on, the analysis result showed that the participant looked into her wounds inflicted by her family of origin and the incongruent communication(survival) methods and gradually realized and practiced the importance of emotional control and expression. In conclusion, personal counseling provided to a homemaker in her thirties that wanted to play her roles as a single mother helped her with her sensory and emotional expression abilities and had positive effects on her self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-regulation process, thus bringing positive changes to her performance of parenting roles as a single parent.
