영문 초록

The study investigated the degree of high school teachers` job satisfaction, the degree of their principals` leadership, and the relationship between those two variables in Korea. The population of the study included all high school teachers who offered education in September, 2001. A sample of 360 general high school teachers and the same number of vocational high school teachers were selected from the population by using of stratified cluster sampling method. The major findings of the study were as follows: 1) High school teachers were satisfied adequately with their jobs (M=3.00). 2) High school teachers perceived their principals had rather adequate leadership (M=3.38). 3) There was a significant and substantial positive relationship (r=.64) between high school teachers` job satisfaction and their principals` leadership.
