자전적 교수경험에 대한 미학적 탐구: Eisner의 연구방법론에 기초하여

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 미술의 인지적 성격에서 미술교육의 가치와 필요성을 규명하고, 미 술교육의 정당성을 확보함과 동시에 더 나은 교육 방향을 모색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 연구자의 자전적 교수경험에 초점을 두고, Eisner에 의해 창안된 미학적 탐구(aesthetic inquiry)를 활용하여 논의하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 첫째, Eisner의 미학 적 탐구와 기존의 미학적 탐구를 비교하여 Eisner의 미학적 탐구의 특징을 살펴보고, 본 연구의 목적에 맞추어 방법적으로 재구성하였다. 둘째, 재구성된 미학적 탐구의 절차에 따라 연구자의 자전적 교수경험을 기술, 해석, 평가, 주제화하였다. 연구 결과, 미학적 탐구가 교수 상황의 질에 주목하여 자각하게 하고, 미술을 통한 학생들의 사고 확장에 기여할 뿐 아니라, 학생들이 보이는 작은 변화에 민감하게 반응함으로써 연구자의 성장 과 발전에 기여한다는 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to show values and necessities of art education in the light of art’s cognitive aspects, and to contemplate better education direction vindicating the art education. For this, this research focuses on the autobiographic teaching experience and discusses it with Eisner’s aesthetic inquiry. First, this study inquired the characteristics of aesthetic inquiry by comparing Eisner’s aesthetic inquiry with pre-existing one, and re-constructed them methodologically in accordance with the purpose. Second, this study described, interpreted, evaluated, and thematised a researcher’s autobiographic teaching experience by the process of re-constructed aesthetic inquiry. In a nutshell, aesthetic inquiry contributed growth and development of the researcher by paying attention and recognizing the quality of teaching experience, contributing to expand students’ thoughts through the arts, and responding to students’ small changes sensitively.
