국문 초록

본 연구는 2015 개정 교육과정의 적용을 앞두고 있는 시점에서 학생들의 영속적인 이해를 촉진시켜 교과를 내면화하는 방안으로 백워드 설계에서 내러티브를 활용하는 방식 에 주목하고 백워드 설계에서 내러티브의 관련성을 탐색해 보는데 목적이 있다. 이와 같 은 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해서 백워드 설계와 내러티브의 특징을 분석하고 이들의 관 련성을 탐색하였다. 연구의 결과, 내러티브는 의미를 구성하는 사고방식이며 학생의 경험을 구조화하며 해석하는 인식의 틀로 작용한다. 결국, 학습은 내러티브를 통해 의미를 만들어가는 과정 이었다. 백워드 설계는 학생들이 지식의 상호관련성을 파악하고 추론하여 이해에 도달 하도록 하는 설계 방식이므로 학생이 의미를 구성한다는 측면에서 관련된다는 것을 확 인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해, 백워드 설계의 수행과제 개발과 학습경험 계획하기 과정에 서 내러티브를 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Before upcoming application of 2015 Revised National Curriculum, this study is one of ways to facilitate students enduring understanding, helping them to internalize subject-matter knowledge. Its aims lie in focusing on a way to utilize narrative in Backward Design and exploring relevance of narrative to Backward Design. In order to achieve this purpose of the study, characteristics of Backward Design and narrative are analyzed and their relevance is explored. As a result of the study, narrative is a mindset toward constructing meaning and a cognitive framework to structure and interpret a student s experiences. Learning is, in turn, a course of creating meaning through narrative. Since Backward Design is a design method that allows students to grasp and infer knowledge correlation, and, as a result, enduring understand it, it turns out that Backward Design is related to narrative in that a student constructs meaning. This confirmation leads applicability of narrative to development of performance task in Backward Design and to course of planning learning experience.
