잠재성장모형을 적용한 다문화 가정 어머니의 양육효능감 변화와 학교교육 참여에 대한 연구: 초등학교 4학년에서 중학교 3학년 학부모를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 다문화 가정 어머니의 양육효능감 변화 양상을 살펴보고, 양육효능감에 영향을 미치는 선행변인(문화적응 스트레스, 모의 학력, 한국어 능력)과 결과변인(학교교육 참여)의 관련성을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책 연구원의 다문화청소년패널조사(Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study: MAPS) 1차연도에서부터 6차연도까지 자료 중 부모가 응답한 1,220명의 자료를 활용하였다. 연구결과, 다문화 가정 어머니의 양육효능감 변화는 자녀가 초등학교 4학년에서 5학년으로 넘어가는 해를 제외하고는 지속적으로 감소하는 양상을 보였으며, 무변화, 선형변화, 이차변화를 가정한 모형 중 이차변화를 가정한 모형이 학업적응의 변화를 가장 적합하게 설명하였다. 다문화 가정 어머니의 문화적응 스트레스와 한국어 능력이 양육효능감의 초기치와 변화율을 예측하고, 양육효능감의 초기치와 변화율이 다시 중학교 3학년 모의 학교교육 참여에 영향을 미치는 조건모형을 검증한 결과 연구에서 가정한 조건모형은 자료를 적합하게 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로, 다문화 가정 어머니의 문화적응 스트레스, 학력, 한국어 능력은 양육효능감 초기치를 유의미하게 예측하고, 양육효능감 초기치는 중학교 3학년 때의 학교교육 참여에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study examines the aspects of the changes in parental self-efficacy of foreign mothers in multicultural families, and explores the relationship between the antecedent variables (acculturation stress, mother s academic background, and Korean language ability) and the resulting variables (participation in school education) that affect parental self-efficacy. For this purpose, the data from 1,220 parents who responded to the first year of the Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study (MAPS) to the sixth year of the Korean Youth Policy Research Institute were used. As a result, the change of parental self-efficacy of foreign mothers in multicultural families showed a tendency to decrease continuously except for the year when children passed from 4th grade to 5th grade in elementary school. Among the models that assumed non-change, linear and quadric changes, the model that assumed quadric changes explained the change of parental self-efficacy most appropriately. Also, the results of the study showed that foreign mother s acculturative stress, educational level, and Korean ability predicted the parental self-efficacy, and the parental self-efficacy influenced the participation of school education.
