교원자격증 유무에 따른 특수교육 보조원의 지원, 역할,갈등 그리고 직무 만족도에 대한 인식 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 특수교육 보조원의 지원 역할 갈등 그리고 직무 만족도에 대하여 교원 자격증 유무에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위한 것으로 교원자격증을 가진 3명의 보조원(2명의 특수교사 자격소지자 1명의 일반교사 자격소지자) 그리고 교원자격증이 없는 4명의 보조원을 대상으로 면담을 통한 질적연구를 실시하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째 교원자격증을 소지한 특수교육 보조원은 특수아동을 가르치는 방법에 대한 선행지식이 있으며 역할의 모호함에서 오는 담임교사 또는 관리자와의 갈등을 보였다. 그리고 제한된 보조원의 역할과 평생직업으로써가 아닌 미래 교사가 될 것이라는 태도로 직무만족도가 낮았다. 둘째 교원자격증이 없는 특수교육 보조원들은 장애아동에 대한 선행지식 없이 단순히 생계를 위해 직업을 선택했다. 그리고 같이 일하는 관리자와 교사 부모 다른 보조원들 모두에게서 갈등을 느꼈고 그들은 장애아동에 대한 지도능력이 충분하지 않지만 자신의 직업에 대한 만족도는 높았다. 그러므로 본 연구의 결론은 특수교육 보조원에 대한 제도적인 개선과 함께 장애아동에 대한 지식과 기술이 부족한 보조원들에게 사전훈련프로그램이 제공되어야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identity awareness differences of application purpose roles confliction and job satisfaction between two groups of paraeducators with/without teacher s licenses via the interview method. Three paraeducators who have teachers license (two special education teachers and one regular education teacher) and four paraeducators who have no teacher s licenses participated in this study. The awareness differences between two groups were found: (1) The paraeducators with teacher s licences had pre-knowledge of special education; wished to work as licensed special education teachers in the future; admitted conflict when the class room teachers did not have professional teaching skills on students with disabilities; and their job satisfaction was low because they recognized the limitation of their works as paraeducators and they did not regarded present jobs as permanent ones. By contrast (2) the paraeducators without teacher s licences did not have any prior knowledge of special education; regarded their current jobs as permanent ones; reported conflict with teachers as well as school principals parents and other paraeducators; and demonstrated high job satisfaction although their professional skills to support children with disabilities were not enough. In conclusion systematic improvement and proper training programs should be provided to paraeducators especially who do not have enough knowledge of children with disabilities.
