국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 신체활동놀이의 참여가 초등학교 1학년 학생들의 또래관계 및 학교생활적응에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는데 있다. 이를 위해 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누어 사전, 사후 실험설계를 통해 연구를 수행하였으며, 16주간의 신체활동 놀이 프로그램을 실시하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 신체활동놀이 프로그램의 참여유무에 따른 초등학교 1학년 학생의 또래관계에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 또래관계의 하위 영역인 주도성과 협동·공감에서 통계적으로 유의한 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 신체활동놀이 프로그램의 참여유무에 따른 초등학교 1학년 학생의 학교생활적응의 변화를 분석한 결과 학교생활적응의 하위 영역인 교사와의 관계 적응, 친구와의 관계 적응, 학교 수업 및 학교 규칙에 대한 적응에서 프로그램 적용 후 통계적으로 유의한 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 셋째, 신체활동놀이 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 또래관계와 학교생활적응간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 정(+)의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 신체활동놀이 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 또래관계는 학교생활적응에도 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 통해 신체활동놀이 참여는 초등학교 1학년 학생들에게 또래관계 및 학교생활적응 능력을 향상시키는데 도움을 준다는 사실을 알 수 있었고, 이러한 결과는 학교 현장에서 다양한 신체활동놀이를 적용할 필요성이 있음을 시사해 준다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

This article aims to investigate how participating in physical activity play influences peer relationship and school life adjustment of first graders in elementary school. The study was conducted with a pre-test and post-test control group design, and a physical activity play program was conducted over 16 weeks. The results are as follows. First, in terms of the influences of participation in physical activity program on peer relationship of first graders in elementary school sub-elements of peer relationship, leadership, cooperation, and sympathy had statistically positive influences. Second, regarding the changes in school life adjustment of first graders in elementary school, sub-elements of school adjustment, adjustment in relationship with teachers, adjustment in relationship with peers and adjustment in school classes and rules had statistically positive influences after applying the program. Third, peer relationship of the experiment group participating in the physical activity play had positive influences on school life adjustment. Through the research results, it is revealed that participating in physical activity play is helpful for improving peer relationship and school life adjustment abilities of first graders in elementary school and these results implies the necessity of the application of various physical activity plays in school.
