예비유아교사가 교육실습과정에서 느끼는 유아 생활지도의 필요성과 어려움

국문 초록

본 연구는 예비유아교사가 교육실습과정에서 경험하는 유아 생활지도의 필요성에 대한 인식과 어려움에 대해 알아보고 어려움에 대한 개선방향은 무엇인지 살펴보기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 교육실습을 마치고 유아교사가 되려고 하는 4학년 학생 10명을 대상으로 개인 면담을 실시하였다. 면담을 통해 수집된 자료는 분석과정을 거쳐 범주화하여 최종적으로 3개의 범주와 각각 3개의 하위범주로 추출하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 예비유아교사는 생활지도의 필요성으로 가정기능의 역할이 유아교사역할로 전이, 부적절한 행동 수정, 성인기의 원만한 사회생활 적응을 위해서 라고 하였고 생활지도의 어려움으로는 상황판단의 미숙, 실습생 존재의 모호함, 팀티칭 교사의 일관성 없는 태도라고 하였다. 또한 이를 개선할 수 있는 방법으로 다양한 현장경험의 기회, 실천적 지식을 쌓을 수 있는 과제 수행, 끊임없는 반성적 사고라고 하였다. 이는 교육실습과정에서 예비유아교사가 경험한 생활지도에 대해 이해하고 추후 유아교사로서 생활지도를 실행할 때 어려움을 경감시키고 효과적인 생활지도 교수법을 실천할 수 있는 방안을 제공하였다는 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This research aims to identify the necessity and difficulty of guidance of young children experienced by student teachers during their practicum and to find out the improvement direction. For this, individual in-depth interviews were conducted 10 student teacher participants in their senior year who have finished practicum and are expected to become early childhood teachers. The collected data were categorized through the analysis process and was divided into 3 categories followed by 3 sub-categories each. The results of the study are as follows. The necessity of guidance of young children is due to the transition of family-role to the teacher-role, modification of problem behavior and adjustment to social life as adults. The difficulty of guidance originates from inexperienced situational judgment and ambiguity of identity of student teachers and from incoherent attitude of supervised teachers. The difficulties can be improved through offering various opportunities of field experience, performing tasks to build practical knowledge and having constant reflective thinking. This research is meaningful in that it understands about the guidance experienced by student teachers during their practicum, and that it offers suggestions to reduce the difficulties of guidance for the teachers in the future and provides an effective way to practice guidance.
