국문 초록

요약 : 본 연구는 교사의 눈으로 바라본 수업 이야기이다. 수업시간에 엎드려 자는 학생들이 증가하면서, 이 문제에 대처하고자 배움의 공동체 수업을 교실에 적용하였다. 학생들을 ㄷ자 형으로 배치하고, 기본과제와 심화과제로 구성된 학습지를 제작하여 모둠별로 과제를 해결하고 발표하게 하였다. 그 결과 기존의 강의식 수업에서는 볼 수 없었던 눈에 띄는 변화가 관찰되었다. 서로 상호작용하고 협력하며 상의하는 소통이 발생하였다. 서로 돕고 배우는 모습이 나타난 것이다. 그리고 상대적으로 많은 수의 학생들이 깨어서 수업에 임하였다. 그러나 긍정적인 변화의 모습이 충분하지는 않았다. 서로 돕지 않고 혼자 과제를 해결하거나 여전히 엎드려 있는 학생들이 있었기 때문이다. 그리고 모둠원들 간의 수업과 관련 없는 이야기로 시끄러웠다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위하여 수업 모델의 원칙들을 변형하는 방식으로 대처하였다. 그러나 이러한 대처는 큰 효과가 없었고, 또한 변형된 수업이 과연 진정한 배움의 공동체 수업인가 하는 의문을 갖게 했다. 그리고 이러한 의문은 공동체적이지 못한 학생들을 대상으로 어떻게 서로 돕고 배우는 수업을 실현할 수 있을까라는 후속 과제를 남기게 되었고, 이에 대한 탐구의 방향으로 이기성과 이타성 너머의 제3의 영역을 설정하였다.

영문 초록

This study is the lesson story from the teacher s eyes. As the number of students lying down in class increased, the learning community lesson was applied to the classroom to cope with this problem. Students were placed in the letter “ㄷ” and provided with a worksheet consisting of basic and advanced tasks to solve and present their work by group. As a result, noticeable changes were observed that were not seen in the existing lecture-style lessons. There was communication that interacted, cooperated and discussed with each other. In other words, they helped and learned from each other. And a relatively large number of students woke up and took part in the class. But there was not enough positive change. Because, there were students who did not help each other, solved tasks alone, or were still lying down, and it was noisy with unrelated stories among the group members. To solve these problems, the principles of the lesson model were modified. This response, however, did not have much effect, and led to the question of whether the modified lesson is really a learning community lesson. And these questions left the following task: how can we realize the lessons that help and learn from each other for non-community students? And the third area beyond selfishness and altruism was set as the direction of inquiry on this.
