국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 부모-자녀 갈등을 겪고 있는 남자 청소년을 위한 용서교육 프로그램이 용서, 부모-자녀 갈등 및 대인관계 유능성에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 G시 K고등학교 남학생 1학년 280명중 부모-자녀 갈등 수준이 높은 28명을 선정하여 용서교육 프로그램 집단에 15명, 통제집단에 13명을 배정하였다. 연구결과, 용서교육 프로그램을 참여한 집단은 사후검사의 용서수준이 사전검사에 비해 증가하였고, 추후검사에서는 처치집단의 용서점수가 통제집단보다 높았다. 다음으로 처치집단은 사후검사의 부모-자녀 갈등수준이 사전검사에 비해 감소하였으며, 사후검사와 추후검사에서 통제집단보다 부모-자녀 갈등수준이 낮았다. 또한 처치집단 대인관계 유능성 사후검사 점수는 사전검사에 비해 증가하였고, 추후검사에서는 통제집단보다 대인관계 유능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 용서교육 프로그램이 부모-자녀 갈등 수준을 겪고 있는 남자 청소년들에게 용서라는 개념을 알리고, 이들의 용서 수준을 높이고, 부모-자녀 갈등 수준을 낮추며, 대인관계 유능성을 높임을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 청소년기 부모-자녀 갈등으로 초래되는 다양한 부적응을 긍정적으로 해소하고, 원만한 대인관계의 형성과 발달을 촉진함으로써 청소년들의 건강한 적응과 성장을 돕는 치료적, 예방적 대안으로 용서교육 프로그램을 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The study investigated the effects of the forgiveness education program on forgiveness, parent-child conflict, and interpersonal competence in a sample of male high school students. A total of 280 male freshman students completed a survey packet of the Forgiveness, Parent-Child Conflict, and Interpersonal Competence Scales (pre-test). Among 28 students with high levels of parent-child conflict, 15 students were assigned to a treatment group and 13 students were assigned to a control group. The results indicated that in the treatment group, the post-test scores on forgiveness were significantly higher than the pre-test scores. and the follow-up test scores of the participants in the treatment were significantly higher than those of the participants in the control group. In addition, the post-test scores on parent-child conflict were significantly lower than the pre-test scores in the treatment group and the post-test and follow-up test scores on parent-child conflict of the participants in the treatment were significantly lower than those of the participants in the control group. Furthermore, despite no significant group difference in the post-test scores on interpersonal competence, the follow-up test scores on interpersonal competence in the treatment were significantly higher than those in the control group. The implications for researchers, educators, and parents and the suggestions for future studies were discussed.
