방과후학교 바이올린수업 실태조사 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 전북 소재 7개 초등학교의 바이올린 지도교사 9명, 수강학생 218명을 대상으로 설문지와 인터뷰를 통해 수업의 실태를 조사하였으며, 조사결과를 바탕으로 바이올린수업에 대해 고찰해 보았다. 먼저 수업 실태에 대한 기본조사 및 학생 설문지 조사를 실시하고 마지막으로 교사들의 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 학생 조사의 결과를 요약하면 자발적 참여와 음악의 높은 선호도, 친구들과 공동 참여, 지속적인 수업 유지, 수업의 높은 만족도를 보였고 단체연주와 개별지도방식 수업을 선호하였다. 약 80%의 학생은 수업을 통한 긍정적 자아성취 만족도가 높았다. 교사 대상 조사 결과로는 약70%의 교사에서 수업 만족도는 높으나 수업 환경은 불만족인 경우가 많았다. 수업의 장점으로 합주 식 수업을, 단점으로는 개개인 지도의 어려움을 지적하였다. 교사 인터뷰를 통한 심층 조사에서 나타난 문제점과 전반적인 연구의 결과를 토대로 10명 선의 수업인원 제한, 수업환경 개선, 교사연수프로그램이나 교수법 매뉴얼 배포, 대학에서 현장 형 관련강좌개설, 네트워크 시스템 구축 등을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the actual condition of after-school violin classes by conducting a survey and interviews with 9 violin teachers and 218 violin-class students affiliated with 7 elementary schools located in Jeollabuk-do Province and considered ways to improve the after-school violin classes implemented in elementary schools based on the investiation results. The findings from the investigation with students are summarized as follows: The students chose violin classes out of their own will and showed interest in improving their performance, enjoying music, and being with friends. They had high satisfaction for violin classes and preferred lessons in group playing and individual instruction. Most of the students showed high satisfaction for positive self-fulfillment through violin classes. According to the findings from the investigation with teachers, satisfaction for the violin classes was generally high, whereas satisfaction for the class environment was low for many teachers. The teachers pointed out the ensemble-style lesson as an advantage of the classes and the difficulties in individual instruction as a disadvantage. Based on the findings, this study made the following suggestions for the improvement of afterschool violin classes; limit the number of students in a class to 10; improve the class environment; provide teacher training program or distribute teaching manuals; open field-type related courses at universities; and construct networking system for the teachers.
