취타대 집사(등채)의 지휘 신호 고찰 -남한산성취고수악대를 중심으로-

국문 초록

궁중 음악의 지휘자는 집박 또는 집사라고 불렸다. 궁중음악 중 제례악과 연례악에서는 박을 연주하는 집박이 지휘자의 역할을 하였다. 이것은 풍류 음악과 민속 음악에서 장구 연주자와 목피리 연주자가 템포의 완급, 강약, 호흡, 박자 등을 서로 교감에 의하여 지휘하는 것과 유사하였다. 궁중 음악 중 군례악인 대취타에는 박이 편성되지 않으므로 등채라는 지휘봉을 사용하는 집사가 지휘자의 역할을 하였다. 취타대에서 집사 또는 등채의 지휘 신호에 대한 문헌 자료는“명금이하대취타 및 훤화금”이라는 구호 이외에는 없는 것으로 보인다. 그래서 현행 몇몇 취타대를 조사해 보았더니, 집사는 오른손에 잡은 등채와 왼손가락을 이용하는 이십여 가지의 신호 방법으로 연주자들을 지휘하고 있었다. 수집된 취타대 집사의 지휘 신호는 크게 세 유형으로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 첫째는 음악의 시작과 템포를 지시하고, 둘째는 음악의 악절 변화 또는 행진을 유도하며, 셋째는 음악을 끝내고 퇴장하라는 지시를 하는 것이다. 각각의 구체적인 신호 방법은 사진 자료로 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Conductor of a court music was called Jipbak or Jipsa. Jipbak replaced the conductor’s role in a imperial palace religious ceremonies music and in a banquet music. As the player of a Jango and the first flute play the show and fast of tempo, strength and weakness, breath and tune etc as a exchange of feeling in classical elegant music and folk music. Conducting of Chitadae, the korean traditional military music band, is acted by the Jipsa who used not Bak but Deungchae(like as baton). Jipsa’s signal of Daechita have three parts of conductor action. The first part is dictate the point of music start(cue time) and tempo. The second part is inform the transfer of music rhythm and the direction of marching. The third part is dictate the point of music finish and exit. These three part of signal methods are not discovered in historical documents and picture album except two words of command. In the result of practical survey, I know the expressions of Chitadae’s signal are not united and terminology, therefore the usage are different from each other. So this study surveyed several group of Daechita in the metropolitan area. Accordingly this study suggested some signal forms which were fitted to Daechita’s character, that is to say temperances and moderation. But these are not the best and only signals. Therefore I think Chitadae’s conducting signals must be consolidated sooner or later.
