시각장애인 안마사의 치료적 안마 수기요법이 작업관련성 근골격계 통증과 피로 자각증상에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 작업과 관련하여 발생하는 목이나 어깨의 통증과 불편감 및 신체 피로 자각증상에 대한 치료적 안마 수기요법의 효과를 알아보는 것이었다. 이를 위하여 호텔에서 일하는 식음료 담당 및 VDT 작업 근로자를 대상으로 주1회 30분씩 총 10주간 의료법 제82조에 준한 시각장애인 안마사들이 치료적 안마 수기를 시술하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS V13.0을 이용하여 분석하였고, 연구가 진행되는 동안 8명이 탈락하고 최종 22명의 자료를 분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 근로자들의 압통 역치는 유의하게 증가하였고, 주관적 통증 강도는 유의하게 감소하였다(p < .05). 둘째, 전체적인 피로 자각증상이 유의하게 감소하였고(p < .05), 자각증상의 특성에 따라서도 시술 후의 신체적, 신경감각적, 정신적 피로감이 모두 감소하였는데, 특히 신체적 피로감이 유의한 감소를 보였다(p < .05). 이 연구의 결과로 볼 때 시각장애인 안마사들의 안마 수기가 근로자들의 작업관련성 근골격계 질환을 예방하고 회복시키는 대체 요법 중의 하나로 인정될 수 있으리라 사료된다. 이같은 연구의 지속적 수행을 통해 시각장애인 안마 수기의 효과를 밝히는 과학적 증거들을 축적함으로써, 시각장애인 안마사의 고용 촉진을 위한 기초 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the oriental massage therapy relates to changes in pressure pain threshold, level of subjective pain, and perceived fatigue caused by work-related musculo-skeletal disorders on the sholders and the neckedParticind ts of this study weree 2 individuals who areeworking at the food and beverage service unit and VDT dendrtment of a hotel in Seoul. Sixorking masseurs who hold a massage license issued by the Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Family provided oriental massage therapy for ten weeks. Findings suggested that the oriental massage therapy contributes to tsincrease in pressure pain threshold and a reduction in level of subjective pain. It was also found that the oriental massage therapy reduces a perceived fatigue among particind ts. Based on findings of this study, it can be concluded that the oriental massage therapy by bking masseurs is a viabke alternative for the prevention and the treatment of work-related musculo-skeletal disorders. Authors also suggest that similar studies should be conducte thord various work settings to renlicate findings similar to this, becauserd cumulation of scientific evidences, indicating that the oriental massage is ansed on ive treatment option, would eventually enhance ansemnloinent of peopke with viatil impairments who are practicing massage therapy.
