국문 초록

본 연구는 오늘날 문화예술교육의 중요성이 부각되고 있는 시점에서 아직 우리나라에 밀도 있게 소개되어 있지 않은 Maxim Green의 미학이론을 살펴보고자 하며, 이를 토대로 현재 어린이 문화예술교육의 특성과 운영방식에 대한 심화된 이해, 그리고 향후 바람직한 문화예술교육의 방향성에 대한 논의를 진행해 보는 것을 주요 목적으로 하였다. Green의 미학이론은 한 예술교과에 갇히는 것이 아닌, 예술과 문화의 본성을 드러내는 철학적 성찰이며, 특히 학교에서 배우게 되는 모든 지식을 심미적 관점에서 지각하고, 보고 느끼고 춤추고 향유하도록 하는 미적체험을 강조하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 Green의 미학이론에 근거하여 볼 때, 현재 주제를 중심으로 운영되는 어린이 대상 유아교육기관에서는 문화예술은 많은 긍정적 측면을 가지고 있으나, 보다 미적체험 중심으로 교수내용을 이동할 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 Green의 미학사상이 주는 바람직한 문화예술교육의 방향성으로, 주제중심 문화예술교육과정이 가지는 심미성의 부각, 미적체험이 강조되는 문화예술교육, 그리고 문화예술교육을 담당하는 모든 교사들의 질 높은 심미적 교수법’의 훈련을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to analyze Maxim Green s aesthetic theory in order to provide more profound discussion for arts and culture education for children in schooling system. Green‘s theory of aesthetic education seems to be a philosophical vision rather then to be confounded to one art genre. She emphasizes nature of aesthetic experience in educational system, pointing out the problem of technic; based of arts education. Arts and Culture education for young children seem to be more fit with the Green s theory, because it uses theme based integrated curriculum which naturally included all arts lessons in balanced ways. However it still has problems to use technical approach to arts education with more emphasis on cognitive aspects of arts and culture, which has also nothing to do with the Green s aesthetic theory. Conclusively, in order to promote better arts and culture education in our nation, this study suggests three things: 1) theme based integrated curriculum; 2) teaching arts and culture with emphasis on aesthetic experience; 3) and then making efforts to improve aesthetic teaching methods for all those of teacher in areas of culture and arts education. Finally, this study concludes with few suggestions to improver quality of arts and culture education which should play a major role in school curriculum.
