초등 예비교사를 위한 양성평등 캠프의 효과 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등 예비교사 230명을 대상으로 양성평등 캠프를 실시한 후 캠프의 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. ‘초등 예비교사를 위한 양성평등 캠프’는 1박 2일 동안 교외에서 이루어졌고, 캠프 에는 초등학교 교과서 분석 활동이 포함되었으며, 캠프 전과 후에 양성평등 관련 검사가 이루어 졌다. 연구 결과, 양성평등 캠프는 초등 예비교사들의 ‘한국형 남녀평등 의식(KGES)’을 높였으나, 성별에 따라 효과의 정도가 다르게 나타났다. 그리고 이 캠프는 초등 예비교사들의 ‘한국형 다면 성별의식 검사(K-MSI)’ 중 적대적 성별의식과 온정적 성별의식에 모두 변화를 일으킨 것으로 나 타났다. 초등 예비교사들의 교과서 개선에 대한 의식 변화는 나타났지만, 입학성비와 임용성비에 대한 의식 변화는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 초등 예비교사들은 초등학교 교과서 내용이 양성 평등 관점을 크게 반영하지 않고 있다고 생각하는 것으로 나타났으며, 양성평등 캠프 참여나 교과서 분석 활동에 대해 긍정적으로 평가하는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of gender equality camp. The subjects of this study were 230 pre-service elementary school teachers. They took a Gender Equality Camp in rural areas during one night two days, and analyzed elementary school textbooks in the camp. To collect data, we conducted the questionnaires of Korean Gender Egalitarianism Scale(KGES), Korean-Multiple Sexism Inventory(K-MSI), and textbook improvement, gender ratios of entrance university and teacher certification before and after the camp. Also we implemented the questionnaires of gender equality inventory of textbooks, participation of camp and analysis of textbooks after camp. The results were as follows: First, the post-test scores of pre-service elementary school teachers in KGES were higher than the pre-test scores. The degrees of camp effect in KGES showed difference on groups by gender. Second, the post-test scores of them in both Hostile Sexism and Benevolent Sexism of K-MSI were higher than the pre-test scores. Third, they thought the textbooks now in use improved than textbooks which they used when they were elementary school students in gender equality viewpoint. However thoughts of them on gender ratios of entrance university and teacher certification did not change before and after the camp. Forth, pre-service elementary school teachers judged that many elements of gender discrimination remained on the textbooks. The last, they thought positively on the participation of gender equality camp and the activity of textbooks analysis.
