국문 초록

이 연구에서는 현장 교사와 교대 학생 간의 멘토링 경험 사례를 바탕으로 교사 성장의 의미를 살펴보았다. 교사 전문성 신장 기제로서 멘토링의 성격을 살펴보고, 현장 교사와 교대 학생의 멘토링 경험의 의미를 정리하였다. 멘토링 경험 속에서 현장 교사는 수업 컨설팅에서 경험하지 못 했던 동료와 함께 하는 배움을 경험했고, 교대 학생들은 교육실습에서 경험하지 못했던 현장 그 대로의 모습에서 교사로 산다는 것이 무엇인지 깨닫게 되었다. 본 사례 연구를 통해 교사가 성장 한다는 것이 단순히 교육 현장을 처방할 수 있는 레퍼토리를 추가하는 것에 머물지 않는 다는 것 을 알 수 있다. 교육 현장 삶 속에서 부대끼며 보다 풍성한 성찰을 해야 한다. 덧붙여 자기가 처 해있는 상황을 비판적으로 인식하여 보다 나은 삶을 사는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study was to examine a meaning of teacher growth on the basis of a case study on mentoring between in-service teacher and pre-service teachers(students of Teachers College). First, Characteristics of mentoring as mechanism of development of teacher s profession were identified. Then, the meanings in mentoring experienced by in-service teacher and pre-service teachers were explored. In process of mentoring, the Mentor and Mentees could reflect themes or problems like ‘teacher presence in teaching, ‘balancing between school work and classroom management, ‘integration of subjects or integration of between school sector and life sector, ‘teachers attitude toward students, and ‘a condition of teaching, understanding students, ‘learning while teaching etc. The in-service teacher has experienced learning together with the peer, mentees, and pre-service teachers have realized what teachers life is like in the school site. The case study shows that teachers growth goes beyond adding of Repertoires to prescribe problems of school sites. Without a meeting between a life and a life, we can t tell genuine meaning of teacher profession. A rich reflection with being troubled in education field needs. Furthermore, Teachers must form better lives by critical awareness of situations belonging to themselves.
