독서 컨텐츠 이용 어머니의 디지털 기기 인식, 양육효능감과 목표지향 양육의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 유료 독서 컨텐츠를 이용하는 어머니의 양육효능감과 디지털 기기에 대한 인식 및 목표지향 양육을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 유료 독서 컨텐츠를 이용하는 부모들이 접속하는 ‘부모 전용 앱(App)’을 통한 온라인 설문 조사를 실시하였으며, 2,765명이 응답하였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유료 독서 컨텐츠를 이용하는 어머니의 양육효능감은 중간 이상이었으며, 디지털 기기에 대한 인식은 중립적이었다. 둘째, 양육효능감 수준에 따라서 디지털 기기를 허용하는 정도와 디지털 기기에 대한 인식, 목표지향 양육이 차이를 나타냈다. 양육효능감이 낮은 집단의 어머니들은 높은 집단에 비하여 디지털 기기에 대한 인식이 부정적이었지만 자녀에게 디지털 기기를 더 많이 허용하고, 수행목표 지향적인 양육을 하였다. 셋째, 양육효능감이 높은 어머니는 디지털 기기에 대해 좀 더 긍정적인 인식을 가지고 있었으며, 자녀의 학습목표를 독려하는 양육을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 어머니의 양육효능감에 따라 디지털 기기 인식이 다르다는 것, 양육효능감이 낮은 어머니들에게는 실제적으로 자녀의 디지털 기기 사용을 효과적으로 제한하고 양질의 컨텐츠를 선택할 수 있는 양육실제를 교육해야 한다는 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate parenting efficacy, perception of digital devices and goal-orientation parenting of parents who uses charged learning contents for their children. For this, online surveys were conducted through ‘Parent-only apps’ accessed by parents, and 2,765 parents responded to the online questionnaire. The main findings were as following; First, the parenting efficacy of parents was higher than medium, and the perception of digital devices was neutral. Second, there was a difference between the allowance of digital devices, perception of digital devices, and goal-orientation parenting according to the level of parenting efficacy. Parents with lower level of parenting efficacy had negative perceptions of digital devices compared to higher level of parenting efficacy, however lower group allowed more and longer time of digital devices to their children. Third, parents with higher level of parenting efficacy had a more positive perception of digital devices and showed the parenting which support children s learning goals. This study suggests that perception of digital devices is different according to level of parenting efficacy. The parent education should be provided to enable parents to practically and effectively restrict their child s use of digital devices, and should be provided about a choice of high-quality learning contents to parents of lower level of parenting efficacy.
