국문 초록

본 연구는 유아의 학교준비도에 영향을 미치는 어머니의 양육행동(온정적, 통제적)과 유아의 전자미디어 놀이시간, 외현화 문제행동 간의 구조적 인과관계를 밝히는 데 그 목적이 있다. 한국아동패널자료의 7차 년도 조사 자료를 활용하여 취학 전 유아 851명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며, Pearson의 적률상관분석과 구조방정식모형을 통하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 어머니의 통제적 양육행동은 유아의 전자미디어 놀이시간 및 외현화 문제행동에, 전자미디어 놀이시간은 유아의 외현화 문제행동에, 그리고 외현화 문제행동은 학교준비도에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 통제적 양육행동이 유아의 학교준비도에 미치는 영향에서, 전자미디어 놀이시간과 외현화 문제행동이 완전매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 어머니의 규칙준수나 한계설정과 같은 통제적 양육행동이 유아의 전자미디어 놀이시간과 외현화 문제행동에 영향을 미쳐 유아의 학교준비도에 직․간접적으로 영향을 미치고 있다는 점을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the structural cause-and-effect relationship between mother’s parenting behaviors (both affectionate and regulatory), children s electronic media playtime and externalized problem behavior, all of which influence early childhood school readiness. This study selected data of 851 seven-year-old pre-schoolers from the 7th edition of the Panel Study on Korean Children, then used the Pearson product moment correlation analysis and structural equation modeling analysis to conduct further analysis. As a result of the study, the author found the following conclusions: First, mother’s regulatory parenting behavior has proven to have a direct impact on toddlers’ electronic media playtime. Second, mothers’ regulatory parenting behavior and electronic media playtime have proven to have a direct impact on toddlers’ externalized problem behaviors. Third, externalized problem behaviors have proven to have a direct impact on school readiness. Fourth, in the process of mother’s regulatory behavior impacting toddlers’ school readiness, electronic media play time and externalized problem behavior has proven to act as mediating factors. All these conclusions reflect that mother’s regulatory parenting behavior, such as enforcing rules and setting limits, influences toddlers’ electronic media playtime and externalized problem, thereby directly and indirectly impacting their school readiness.
