중학교와 고등학교 교육과정에서 표준 관련 교육 목표 및 내용의 변천 - 2007 개정, 2011 개정, 2015 개정 교육과정을 중심으로 -

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 중학교와 고등학교 교육과정에서 표준과 관련된 교육 과정을 분석하여 교육 목표와 내용의 변천 추이와 그 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 표준과 관련된 교육목표와 내용이 포함된 2007 개정 교육과정, 2011 개정 교육과정, 2015 개정 교육과정의 교육 목표(성취 기준)과 내용의 변천 추이와 특징을 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 표준 관련 교육과정은 기술․가정 과목의 교육과정 중 2007 개정 교육과정, 2011 개정 교육과정, 그리고 2015 개정 교육과정에서 확인할 수 있었다. 중학교 국민공통교육과정과 고등학교 선택교육과정에 포함되어 있었으며 특히 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 중학교와 고등학교의 기술․가정과목에 ‘표준’이 별도의 독립된 내용 요소로 확대 적용되었다. 둘째, 교육 목표의 변천 추이와 특징은 2007 개정 교육과정과 2011 개정 교육과정에서는 단편적인 인지과정차원과 지식차원의 교육목표에만 집중하고 있었으나 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 다양한 인지과정차원과 지식차원의 교육목표가 제시되었다. 셋째, 교육 내용의 변천 추이와 특징은 중학교 국민공통교육과정인 기술․가정과목의 2007개정 교육과정과 2011개정 교육과정에서는 ‘표준’을 ‘제조 기술’ 단원에 일부 포함되었으나 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 독립된 내용 요소로서 확대 적용되었다. 고등학교 선택교육과정 중 일반 선택 과목인 기술․가정과목의 2007 개정과 2011 개정 교육과정에서는 ‘표준’을 교육내용으로 포함하지 않았으나 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 독립된 내용 요소로서 제시되면서 중학교에서보다 심화된 내용을 다루고 있다. 반면, 2007 개정 교육과정에서 공학기술 전반과 ‘표준’을 연계하고 2011 개정 교육과정에서 지적재산권과 ‘표준’을 연계했던 고등학교 심화(진로) 선택 교육과정의 공학기술(일반)과목은 2015 개정 교육과정에서는 ‘표준’ 내용을 포함하지 않았다. ‘표준’은 지적재산권과 함께 국가 경쟁력을 강화하는 중요 전략인 만큼 Technological Literacy로서 모든 내용 요소에서 표준과 관련된 내용이 언급되어야 할 뿐 아니라 초등학교에서부터 고등학교까지 계속성과 계열성도 확보되어야 할 것이다. 또한, 고등학교 교육과정 중 기술․가정 과목의 선택교육과정 전 과목에서도 계속성과 계열성 확보의 차원에서 표준과 관련된 교육목표와 내용이 포함되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends of “standard” related objectives and contents within the national curriculum of ‘Technology and Home economics’ and ‘Engineering’ subjects in middle and high schools. The analysis was conducted based on the 2007, 2011, and 2015 revised curricula, which contain “standard” related objectives and contents. The results are as follows: First, after the “standard” was introduced for the first time in the 2007 revised middle and high school curriculum, the “standard” related purposes and contents started to appear in the curricula of middle, and high schools. In the most recent version of the curriculum, “standard” was separated as an independent content in the middle and high school, but was removed from in the middle school’s elective course. Second, the “Technology & Home Economics” subjects in middle and high school present the purposes for developing lower order thinking skills as well as higher order thinking skills of cognitive process dimension and various knowledge dimension, but the past curriculum only focuses on developing lower order thinking skills and fragmentary knowledge dimensions Third, the “standard” was first introduced to the curriculum as a content related to manufacture technology and all of the engineering. but, in the recent curriculum, the “standard” is emphasized. Therefore, the study confirmed that the objectives and contents are changing in accordance with changes in technological advances and society. Since the “standard” is the core technology that will lead the future, the future curriculum should secure its continuity and sequence, not only in the middle and high school curriculum, but also in the elementary school course curricula as well.
