국문 초록

사회적 약자인 소수집단에 대한 부정적인 인식을 개선하여 우리 사회의 일원으로 함께 공동의 발전을 하기 위해서 필수 불가결한 사항이다. 특히, 군대는 조직의 특수한 문화와 군법이 존재하는 재사회화의 조직이라는 측면에서 다원화에 대한 준비가 마련되지 않는다면 조직의 특성상 그 다양성으로 인하여 전투력저하는 물론이고 존립의 위기를 맞이할 수도 있는 것이다. 그러나 소수집단에 대한 인식 연구는 그들에 대한 편견이나 사회적 거리감만을 밝히는데 국한되어 있으며, 이를 완화하기 위한 구체적인 해결방안을 제시하지 못하는 제한점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 현재 군대 내에서 형성된 소수집단에 대한 인식을 파악하고, 인식 개선을 위해 개념도 연구를 통한 구체적인 방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 특히, “이중문화 장병”이라는 새로운 개념을 적용하였으며, 본 연구에서 연구대상으로 채택한 이중문화 장병의 범주는 국제결혼 가정에서 태어나 군이 입대한 자녀와 부모 중 한 쪽이 외국인근로자로 형성된 가정에서 태어나 입대한 자녀, 그리고 외국에서 유학생활을 하다가 입대한 장병까지 포함하였다. 또한 개념도 연구방법을 적용하여 그들의 심리적 특성에 초점을 맞추어 군대 내 소수집단에 대한 인식의 근원적 본질을 확인하고, 이를 통해 인식 개선을 위한 구체적인 방안(보호요인, 위험요인)을 제안하고자 하였다.

영문 초록

This study is essential to improve the negative perception of minority groups of the socially disadvantaged and to make a cooperative effort to make them with our society. In particular, in the aspect that the military is a resocialization group where a special culture and military law exists in the group, if diversification is not prepared for, the diversity may lead to a decline combat power and can also lead to an existential crisis. However, the awareness studies of minority groups are limited to simply bringing to light the prejudices of those people and the social distance that exists, and it holds a limitation in being unable to bring forth a detailed solution to alleviate this problem. Therefore, in this study, perceptions of minority groups within the military were identified, and sought out to draw a detailed solution that will improve such perceptions through the concept mapping method. In particular, a new concept called “Dual Culture Soldier” was applied, and the range of such adopted dual culture soldiers for the purposes of this study included those who were born from an interracial family where in which one of the parents were a foreigner to those who have studied abroad in foreign countries. In addition, a conceptual study method was applied to focus on their psychological characteristics which was to identify the fundamental nature of the perception on minority groups. And, a detailed solution(protection factors, risk factors) to improve perceptions will be proposed.
