국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 다시 부각되고 있는 읽기이해능력 학습전략인 CSQ3Rs 학습전략 이 중학생의 국어교과 학습흥미와 학습태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 구체적으로 살펴봄으로써, 일선 중학교의 국어교과 교사들에게 수업개선을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적을 두었다. 연구대상은 (사)청소년문화공동체 교육연구소가 주관한 하계 학습능력계발 프로그램에 참여한 목포시 소재의 3개 중학교 중학생 90명을 대상으로 2개의 실험집단과 통제집단을 구성하여 6주간 진행하였으며, 실험 개시 전 사전검사를 실시하고 3주 후 중간검사를, 실험이 종료되는 6주차에는 사후검사를 실시하였다. 측정에는 학습흥미검사와 학습 태도검사가 사용되었다. 본 연구의 주요결과로는 첫째, 읽기이해능력 학습전략이 학생들의 국어교과 학습흥미와 학습태도를 높이는 데 효과가 있음이 입증되었다. 둘째, 읽기이해능력 학습전략은 학습량(학습 분량)보다 지속적인 적용이 더 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 읽기이해능력 학습전략은 짧은 시간의 훈련으로도 충분히 습득 가능하나, 이를 꾸준히 적용할 경우에 학습흥미와 학습태도 개선에 더 도움이 될 수 있음을 밝혔다. 이에 읽기이해능력 학습전략을 중학생의 수업장면에 적용할 필요성에 대하여 제언하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of CSQ3Rs reading strategy on academic interest and attitude of learning among middle school students. The major results of this study are as follows: First, the effects of CSQ3Rs reading strategy on academic interest and attitude of learning between the experimental group and the control group were significantly different. Second, the effects of CSQ3Rs reading strategy on academic interest and attitude of learning for which the test program was carried out for the whole 4 weeks were significantly more positive than those of the program carried out for the first 2 weeks, thereby implying that the academic interest and the attitude of learning of middle school student continued to improve significantly as the CSQ3Rs reading strategy program extends longer. Third, it is also demonstrated that the CSQ3Rs minute per class session(50 or 100 minutes) and the CSQ3Rs duration(4 or 2 weeks) were both important factors in influencing the academic interest and the attitude of learning. Both the 50 minutes per session and the 100 minutes per session programs continued increasing their influence positively on both the interest and the attitude of learning as these CSQ3Rs reading strategy programs were being kept longer during the 4 weeks program period.
