로봇활용수업에서의 학습활동 소요 변인 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 로봇활용수업의 전 과정을 심층적으로 분석하여 학생이 주로 수업의 어떤 활동에 어느 정도의 시간을 보냈는지를 알고자 하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 초등학교는 자료 조작 및 활용 활동이 많았던 반면 중학교는 교사주도의 활동이 가장 많았으며, 둘째, 초등학교 로봇활용수업에서 남학생은 학습준비 활동, 교사주도 활동에 적극적으로 참여한 반면 여학생은 자료작성 및 제작, 주의집중, 무관활동에 소요한 시간이 상대적으로 더 많았다. 마지막으로, 초등학교와 중학교의 로봇활용수업에서 로봇조작수준 수준에 따른 뚜렷한 차이는 없었으나, 로봇조작수준이 中인 학생은 무관활동에 참여한 비율이 상대적으로 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 매체의 측면에서 보면 로봇매체가 범용적인 매체로서 자리매김 할 수 있는 가능성이 있음을 보여주고 있다. 뿐만 아니라, 일반적으로 매체를 사용할 때 고려해야 할 사항이 많은 매체일수록 수업에 활용되기 힘든 단점이 있다는 점에서 볼 때, 로봇매체는 학생의 로봇조작 수준에 관계없이 활용할 수 있으므로 범용적인 매체로서의 가치가 있음을 보여준다. 그러나 이같은 결과가 로봇매체가 다른 요인을 고려할 점이 없는 완전한 매체라는 것을 단정하지는 않는다. 왜냐하면 이 결과는 학습활동 소요 변인에 한정되었기 때문이다. 따라서 범용적인 매체로서의 부가적인 정보를 얻기 위해서는 학습자의 연령, 적성, 수업상황, 물리적 환경 등과의 상관관계를 규명하는 후속 연구가 요청된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the time spent in each activity in the instruction by analyzing the whole process of robot utilization class in depth. Accordingly, the followings were found. First, in elementary school there were more material manipulation and utilization activities, while in middle school teacher-driven activities were dominant. Second, in elementary school robot based instructions, male students participated in preparation and teacher driven activities more actively, while female students spent more time in material preparation and production, paying attention and irrelevant activities. Finally, although there was no conspicuous difference in robot manipulation level in robot-based instructions between elementary and middle schools, students with intermediate robot manipulation skills showed more active participation in irrelevant activities. From the perspective of media, it is possible for robots to be universal media. Considering that complicated media with many things to be considered are difficult to be used in the classroom, robots can be universal media as they can be used regardless of manipulation level of students. However, such result does not confirm that robot media can be perfect media without other factors to be considered. The reason is because this result is limited to the time for learning activities only. To acquire additional information as universal media, further studies defining the correlation with age, aptitude, class situations and physical environments should be followed.
