국문 초록

본 연구는 모의 집착적인 양육태도에 길들여진 소극적이고 내성적인 중학교 1학년 남학생의 모래놀 이치료 사례연구이다. 대담자의 심리적 과제는 모성에 함몰되어 있는 유약한 상태의 자아에서 벗어나 남성적이고 독립적인 존재로 거듭나는 통과의례를 하는 것이라는 가설 하에 모래놀이치료를 진행하였 댜 상담은 8개월간 주1회(50분), 32회기에 걸쳐 이루어졌다. 모래놀이치료를 하는 동안 치료자는 안전 하고 보호된 공간인 모래상자와 함께 현존(現存)하며 대담자 스스로의 내면에너지에 따라 자신과 마주 하는 여정에 참여하였다. 전체 여정을 살펴본 결과 대담자의 모래놀이는 통과의례의 일반적 과정인 분 리, 전이, 통합의 세 단계에 걸쳐 진행된 것으로 판단되며 각 단계에서 모래상자에 다리를 놓음으로써 여정을 진행하였다. 내담자는 모래놀이가 가진 치유적 힘을 통해 밀착되어 있던 모성으로부터 분리하 여, 자아를 단련하고 재정립하여 남성성을 갖춘 개별적 존재로 거듭난 것으로 보인다. 이 연구는 청소 년이 모래상자 안에서의 통과의례 여정을 통해 심리적 측면에서 모와 분리하고 남성적 자아를 갖추어 나가는 과정을 보여준다

영문 초록

This is a case study on the sandplay therapy for a passive and introverted adolescent boy who has become accustomed to his mother s obsessive childcare style. The sandplay therapy was administered under the assumption that the client s psychological task was to complete an initiation to break away from his ego s current weak state as being dominated by motherhood and to be born again as a masculine and independent being. The counseling therapy was conducted over eight months, with 32 weekly sessions (50 minutes per session). During the sandplay sessions, the therapist was present together with the sand trays as safe and protected space and participated in the client s Journey to face himself following the flow of his inner energy. The analysis of the client s entire Journey shows that his sandplay therapy sessions progressed in the general three stages of an initiation: the stage of separation, transition and incorporation. The client proceeded with his journey by placing bridges on the sand tray at each stage. It seems that the client, through the healing power that therapeutic sandplay has, managed to separate himself from the motherhood that was strongly clung to him, and to strengthen and reestablish his ego, to be born again as an individual being with masculinity. This study shows the process in which an adolescent boy separates from his mother in psychological aspect and finds and grows his masculine ego through a journey of initiation carried out in the sand trays.
