원(圓)의 상징

국문 초록

상징에 대한 탐색을 통해 의식의 언어적인 표현을 넘어서는 무의식, 나아가 집단무의식의 원형적 형상화에 대한 이해가 가능하게 된다. 모래놀이에서 모래, 소품들, 그리고 모래상자의 패턴, 특히 원(圓)의 형상, 만다라(Mandala)의 상징적 의미와 해석을 통해 내담자의 내면의 치유과정과 그 변환의 과정을 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 모래상자 안에서의 원(圓)의 형상, 만다라(Mandala)의 상징적 이해는 개인의 전인격화의 여정의 안내자인, 자기, 자신의 정체성 및 지시하고 인도하는 내적 힘과의 연결정도를 인식할 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 원(圓)의 형상, 만다라(Mandala)상징의 의미 탐색을 위해, 내담자 내면의 무의식의 원형적 이해에 접근할 수 있는 분석심리학적 확충의 기법을 활용하였다. 먼저, 자연의 상징으로서의 원형상의 상징적 의미를 분석하고, 둘째, 문화적 상징으로서의 원(圓), 셋째, 정신과 신체의 통합으로서의 원(圓), 넷째, 원(圓)의 상징과 마음의 방향성, 마지막으로, 모래놀이상담 사례에서 나타난 원(圓)의 상징을 23세 여대생과 35세 여성의 사례를 통하여 살펴보았다. 원(圓), 만다라(Mandala) 상징에 대한 분석과 이해를 통하여 내담자 내면의 정신의 방향성을 파악하고 전체적인 모래놀이치료 개입을 통한 신체와 마음의 연결, 나아가 정신의 전체성의 실현 과정을 이해할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The exploration of symbols enables the understanding of the unconscious which lies beyond the linguistic expressions of the conscious, and furthermore, enables the understanding the archetypal ideation of the collective consciousness. The symbolic meaning and interpretation the meaning of the sand, figurines, and the general pattern of the sand box used in sand therapy are essential to understanding the client s process of healing and transformation. In particular, understanding the symbolic significance of the circle, circular form inside the sandbox, mainly the mandala, can reveal the level of connection between the individual, their sense of self, and their inner strength that guides and instructs the individual on their path to their complete being, wholeness. In this study, it seeks to explore the symbolic meaning of the circle, mandala so often found in sand therapy. first, it analyzes the meaning of the circle, mandala as a symbol of nature. second, we look at cultural significance of the circular form, third, integrating the psyche and the soma, fourth, the symbolic significance of the circle, mandala and the orientation of the psyche. Finally, we look at an example of the symbolic significance of the circle, mandala in sand therapy case studies of the twenties and middle age women. In order to examine the symbolic meaning of the circle, mandala, a psychoanalytic amplification method was used to obtain an archetypal understanding of the client s unconsciousness. By analyzing and understanding the symbolic nature of the circle, mandala, this study aims to grasp the orientation of the client s psyche, and strives to comprehend the process of realizing the wholeness of one s mind, body, and psyche through sand therapy.
