음란물 매체에 노출된 초등학교 아동을 상담한 학교상담사에 대한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 음란물 매체에 노출된 초등학교 아동이 증가하고 있는 이 시점에 상담하였던 학교상담사의 경험을 통하여 대한 본질적 주제와 의미를 탐색하고 이해함으로써, 음란물 매체에 노출된 과정이나 가정환경에 직면하였을 때 상담사는 어떤 역할을 하였는지, 아동들의 특성은 어떠한지, 그들을 둘러싼 환경과 교우관계의 방식은 어떠한지 상담사의 언어로 알아보고자 하였다. 상담사들은 상담과 교육, 돌봄 등 많은 역할을 하는데도 불구하고 특수한 상황에서는 어떠한 전략적 자세를 취하고 있는지 파악하고 학교상담사는 어떠한 대책을 원하는가를 알고자 하였다. 연구참여자는 6명이며, 심층면담을 실시하고 재확인의 작업을 거쳐 얻은 자료는 반복적으로 청취하여 전사하였고 수집된 자료를 Colaizzi의 현상학적 연구방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 현상학적 연구결과를 통하여 나온 범주 4개와 15개의 주제군을 발견하였다. 첫 번째 범주는 ‘음란물에 노출된 아동 발견과 실태’이며 검사에 의한 발견, 열악한 가정환경, 관심받기 위한 행동의 주제로 나타났고, 두 번째 범주는 ‘아동과 부모의 문제 인식 부재’로 문제없다는 부모, 타인에 전가하는 부모, 방어적 태도의 부모, 문제없다는 아동의 주제로 나타났다. 세 번째 범주는 ‘상담사 역할의 과부하’로 부모 역할, 교사역할, 중재자 역할, 역할소진으로 나타났으며 네 번째 범주는 ‘상담사의 전략적 자세’로 아동의 성장과 개입에 노력함, 상담사의 능력을 인정받음, 상담사의 자기 역할 인식, 상담현장에 관한 제언의 주제들이 발견되었다. 이 연구결과를 통해서 학교상담사가 제시한 정책적인 대안은 첫 번째, 조기에 음란물 매체에 노출을 선별할 수 있는 검사의 필요성, 두 번째, 돌봄의 필요성, 세 번째, 상담사 인력 지원과 의무교육이 제시되었다.

영문 초록

This study would examine the counselors’ role when they faced the process or family environment in which children were exposed to pornographic media, the children’s characteristics, and the environment surrounding them and method of peer relation through counselors’ language by exploring and understanding the essential topics and meanings through the experience of school counselors who counseled elementary school children exposed to pornographic media. This study would understand counselors’ strategic attitudes towards special situations among their roles such as counseling, education, and care, figure out what measure school counselors want. With six research participants, in-depth interviews were conducted, and the data obtained through the work of reconfirmation were listened repeatedly and transcribed. The collected data were analyzed, applying Colaizzi’s phenomenological research method. Through the results of a phenomenological study, four categories and 15 topic groups were found. The first category was “the discovery and status of children exposed to pornography” with topics of discovery by inspection, substandard family environment and behavior to be interested. The second category was “absence of problem recognition of children and parents” with topics, including parents who do not think it matters, those who shift responsibility on others, those who have a defensive attitude and children who do not think it matters. The third category was “overload of counselor role” with parent role, teacher role, mediator role, and role burnout. The fourth category was “counselor’s strategic attitude” with topics of effort for the growth and intervention of children, recognition of counselor’s ability, counselors’ awareness of their own role and suggestion about the counseling site. The policy solutions suggested by school counselors through the results of this study included: first, the need for an examination of the exposure to pornographic media earlier; second, the need for care; and third, counselor manpower support and compulsory education.
