MBTI 성격유형에 따른 놀이의 의미와 형태에 관한 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 MBTI 성격유형에 따른 놀이의 의미와 형태, 발달단계별 놀이의 형태에 어떤 차이가 있 는지, 발달단계별 놀이의 형태가 어떻게 변화되는지를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 현대사회에서 우리가 추구해야 할 놀이의 의미를 찾고, 우리사회의 놀이문화가 앞으로 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하고자 한 다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 울산지역에 거주하는 성인 여성 118명을 대상으로 MBTI 검사를 실시한 후 각 유 형별 선호점수가 높은 30명을 선정하여 반구조화된 질문지를 이용하여 면접을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 Ragheb과 Beard(1980)가 제시한 놀이 욕구의 6가지 범주인 심리적 욕구, 교육적 욕구, 사회적 욕구, 긴장이완 의 욕구, 생리적 욕구, 미적 욕구로 분류하여 인터뷰 내용을 근거로 분석하였다. 연구 결과 및 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 놀이의 의미에 있어서 외향형은 주로 긴장이완의 욕구와 심리적 욕구에 영향을 받는 반면, 내향형은 심리적 욕구, 긴장이완의 욕구, 교육적 욕구, 생리적 욕구 전반에 걸쳐 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 외향형과 내향형이 가지는 태도의 특성을 반영한 결과로 볼 수 있다. 또한 두 유형 모두 미적욕구의 영향을 받지 않는 것으로 나타났는데, 이는 감상에 대한 놀이 경험의 부족과 놀이의 의미라는 용어 해석의 제한성 때문인 것으로 보아진다. 둘째, 놀이의 형태에 있어서 외향형은 사회 적 욕구를 충족시키는 놀이의 형태를 선호하는 경향이 높았으며, 내향형은 심리적 욕구를 충족시키는 놀이 의 형태를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과 역시 외향형과 내향형의 특성이 반영된 결과라 할 수 있 다. 또한 두 유형 모두 긴장이완의 욕구가 높게 나타났는데, 이는 성격유형과 관계없이 긴장이완이 놀이의 중요한 역할로 작용하고 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 셋째, 발달단계별 놀이의 형태는 두 유형간 차이가 없었 는데, 아동기에는 사회적 욕구가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 청소년기에는 사회적 욕구와 긴장이완의 욕 구가 가장 높게 나타났다. 하지만 성인기에는 외향형은 긴장이완의 욕구가 높았고, 내향형은 사회적 욕구가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 인간의 성격특성과 발달단계에 근거해서 다양한 놀이 문화와 프로그 램이 계발될 필요가 있음을 보여주는 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether any differences in the meanings and the types of play according to the personality types of MBTI, what differences there are in the forms of play through the stages of development: childhood, adolescence, and adulthood., and how the forms are changed through the development stages. Through the results of this study, we propose finding the meaning of play that we should pursue in modern society and the direction we should ptoceed with our culture of play. For this purpose, we conducted MBTI test on 118 subjects residing in Ulsan and interviewed 30 women who got high score in MBTI test with semi-structured questionnaires. This study is based on data was analysed according to Ragheb and Beard(1980)'s six categories of play needs: psychological needs, educational needs, social needs, relaxative needs, physiological needs, aesthetic needs. The major findings of this study are as follow as: First, in the meaning of play, the types of Extroversion were usually influenced by relaxative needs and psychological needs, but the types of Introversion were usually influenced by social needs. It is suggested that the result is influenced by features of their attitudes. Furthermore both types were not influenced by aesthetic needs. It is thought to be due to a lack of play experience of appreciation and limit stemming form different interpretations of the meaning the word ‘play’. Second, in the form of play, the types of Extroversion were found that they prefer playing to satisfy social needs, as opposed to the types of Introversion prefer playing to meet the psychological needs. This result is also thought to be due to their characteristics. In addition, It is found that there is high relax-needs to both of them, the types of Extroversion and Introversion. It shows that playing is an important role for relaxation. Third, in the forms of play through the stages of development, both types in childhood were found
