중도(中途)척수장애인의 장애수용 증진을 위한 미술치료 사례

국문 초록

본 연구는 중도척수장애인의 장애수용에 영향을 미치는 치료적 요인과 장애수용에 미치는 미술치료효과를 알아보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 G시에 살고 있는 지체장애1급 중도척수장애인(남자, 만40세) 을 대상으로 2013년 4월 23일부터 2013년 6월 28일까지 미술치료를 주 1회 90분씩 10회기 실시하였다. 미술치 료과정에서 제작한 미술작품과 치료과정에서 녹음한 녹취내용에 대해 Miles와 Huberman의 네트워크와 매트릭 스에 의한 범주화를 통해 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중도척수장애인의 장애수용 저해요인은 ‘신체적 결 함에 따른 열등의식’, ‘심리적불편감’, ‘자신에 대한 부정적 사고’ 등 3개의 상위범주로 나타났다. 둘째, 중도척수 장애인의 장애수용에 영향을 미치는 치료적 요인은 ‘치료자 요인’, ‘내담자 요인’, ‘미술치료 및 매체개입’ 등 3 개의 상위범주로 나타났다. 셋째, 중도척수장애인의 장애수용에 미치는 미술치료효과는 ‘자기수용’, ‘현실적응’, ‘삶에 대한 자기만족’ 등 3개의 상위범주로 나타났다. 본 연구 내담자의 장애수용에 대한 긍정적 변화를 볼 때 미술치료는 중도척수장애인의 장애수용 증진에 효과적이라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to investigate therapeutic factors and the effects of the art therapy on the disability acceptance of a man with a non-congenital-spinal injury. For this study, ten sessions of art therapy were executed once a week for 90 minutes from April 23 to June 28, 2013 with a 40-year-old man who was diagnosed(in first grade) as physically disabled after suffering a non-congenital-spinal injury in G city. The analysis results of art works which were made during the art therapy process - as well as recordings mode during therapy process through the categorization by Miles and Huberman's network and metrics - are as follows: First, as to the non-congenital-spinal injured man’s impeding factors of disability acceptance, there arose the following three upper categories: “inferiority complex by the physical deformity,” “psychological discomfort,” and “negative thought to self.” Second, as to the therapeutic factors, there arose three upper categories: “therapist factors,” “participant factors,” and “art therapy and media intervention.” Third, as to the art therapy effect on the non-congenital-spinal injured man’s disability acceptance, there arose three upper categories: “self-acceptance,” “actuality adaptation,” and “complacency about life.” From the positive changes in the disability acceptance of the object of the study, this study has shown that the art therapy is effective on the non-congenital-spinal injured man’s disability acceptance.
