아동기 성학대 피해 여성들의 개인미술치료에서 길 그림 검사 활용 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 2008년 4월부터 2009년 7월까지 J시 소재 성폭력 관련 보호 시설에서 연구자에게 개인미술치료대상으로 의뢰된 자존감이 낮고 우울하며, 과거에의 고착, 음주와 흡연, 자살 시도, 성매매 등 다양한 후유증에 시달리고 있으면서도 자신의 힘든 과거를 드러내길 어려워하는 아동기 성학대 피해 여성 3명을 대상으로 길 그림 검사를 활용한 사례이다. 아동기 성학대 피해 여성들에게 미국의 Hanes(1997)에 의해 개발된 길 그림 검사를 활용한 결과 첫째, 길 그림 검사는 은유와 상징으로 드러난 반응 특성을 통하여 개인의 삶의 과정에서 억압된 무의식의 다양한 정보를 알아내어 개인미술치료를 실시하는 데 도움을 줄 수 있다. 둘째, 길 그림 검사는 개인미술치료 전 ․ 후 실시한 길 그림의 변화 비교를 통하여 미술치료의 효과를 알아볼 수 있는 투사 검사로 활용 가능성이 있다. 셋째, 길 그림 검사는 내담자로 하여금 힘든 삶의 과정에 대한 통찰을 돕고, 더불어 자기 수용과 해결해야 할 당면한 문제나 중요하게 선택해야 할 상황, 앞으로의 삶의 방향과 여정들을 자유의지로 선택하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 투사 기법으로 활용 가능성이 있다.

영문 초록

This is a case study for 4 women suffering from childhood sexual abuse, who have been facilitated in a sexual violence protection facility of J city for the last two years. They've been suffered with various side effects of the abuse such as low self-esteem, depression, obsession with the past, alcohol and smoke problems, suicide attempts, and prostitution. They were reluctant to reveal their past which is too much for them to talk about, but eventually agreed to participate in art therapy using the test of 'drawing roads' invented by Hanes(1997). The results of the therapy are as follows. First, the reactive characteristics of metaphors and symbols on the road drawn would reveal the depressive and subconscious information set in by the difficulties of the personal life, which help the therapist find a tailored art therapy for each person. Second, the comparison between pretest of the road drawing before the art therapy program and posttest after the program may provide an opportunity to use the road drawing as a projective test for art therapy. Third, the road drawing itself should help the clients acquire an insight or inspiration on their difficult life stories, decide the future course of their life with self acceptance and priority of their choices, and determine to achieve what they choose for themselves based on their own free will.
