이혼가정 학령전기 아동의 문제행동에 대한 미술치료 사례

국문 초록

미국내 다수의 역학 조사를 통해 볼 때 학령전기 아동의 약 10-15%가 경한 정도에서 중간 정도의 행동적, 정서적 문제를 가지고 있다고 하며(Campbell, 1995; Earls, 1980; Richman et al., 1982 quoted in Thomas et al., 2001), 이러한 초기 아동기의 행동적 정서적 어려움은 후기 아동기와 청소년기까지 지속된다고 한다(Campbell, 1995; Bakcer et al., 1983; Campbell & Ewing, 1991; Egeland et al., 1991; Lerner et al., 1985; Richman et a1., 1982 quoted in Pavuluri et al., 1997). 인간의 발달은 지속적으로 변화하는 환경적 맥락속에서 생물학적 가능성올 역동적으로 전개시키는 것으로서 부모나 일차 돌봄제공자에 의해 제공되는 환경은 아동의 발달에 가장 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 어린 아동들에게 돌봄을 제공하는 환경과 연관된 위험성은 부정적이고 일관적이지 못한 부모역할과 가족 및 사회적 불행의 중심속에서 찾아볼 수 있다. 학령전기 아동에게서 나타나는 행동문제는 비교적 일반적인 것이며 그러한 문제을은 발달단계상 그들이 근본적으로 자가제어를 할 수 없는 시기에 일어나기 때문에 중요하다. 따라서 이러한 문제의 조기발견과 치료는 학령기 아동들에게 나타나는 행동문제를 감소시키기 위한 여러가지 시도 중에서도 단연 우선순위가 되어야 한다. 초기 아동기 중재 연구들은 학령전기을 통해 치료적 개입을 지속시킴으로서 후기 아동기의 문제발생율이 감소될 수 있음을 보여주고 있다(Berrueta-Clement et al., 1987; Cohen et a1., 1987; Lally et al., 1988 quoted in Pavuluri et al., 1997).

영문 초록

This study was a case study to report the child’s behavioral changes during 10 sessions of the individual art therapy program. The purpose of the study was to identify the course of an independent therapeutic nursing intervention, the individual art therapy, when applied to the children from a divorced family. The subject of this study was a 5 year 3 month old boy with behavioral problems. Data were collected through the direct observation for activity evaluation and the interview with the parents of the subject during the sessions. The main issues of the program was to establish therapeutic relationship with the subjed， and to deal with the problems such as lack of recommunication skills, individual ineffective coping, powerlessness, low self esteem, anxiety, parental role conflicts, and ineffective family coping. The content artalysis of the program daily log reveled a slight improvement of spontaneousness, self expressiveness, and the relationship between child and, his stepmother as effects of the individual art therapy program. In conclusion, the findings showed the possibility of applying individual art therapy as an effective independent therapeutic nursing intervention for the preschool children wîth behavioral problems.
