일제강점기 진학준비교육과 정책적 대응의 성격

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 일제강점기에 진학준비교육이 어떠한 사회적 요인에 의해 도입되고, 그에 대한 정책적 대응은 어떠한 양태로 나타났는지, 그리고 그 성격을 규정해나간 것은 무엇인지 살펴보았다. 조선인의 교 육기회를 제약하려는 의도에서 중등 및 고등교육 관련 학교 설립에 미온적이었던 조선총독부의 정책 하 에서 학력에 따른 취업과 임금 그리고 사회적 보상에서의 차이는 조선인의 교육열이 높아지는 계기로 작 용하면서 입학난을 초래했다. 이에 대해 가정과 학교에서 대응하면서 학교에서는 진학준비교육이 도입되 고, 사설학원도 설립된다. 이러한 진학준비교육 풍조에 대해 학무당국에서는 입학선발의 준거를 변화시키 면서 진학자의 사회적 성분을 통제하다가 전면적인 통제로 귀결되고 만다. 이는 식민지 노동시장의 성격 을 반영하고 있으며, 시기적으로는 국민총동원체제의 전개와 심화에 따른 통제였다.

영문 초록

In this study, I was going to interpret the induction of the entrance-examination-oriented education in Japanese colonized period, it's cause, aspects and it's related policies. The japanese colonial regime restricted the educational opportunity of Koreans by the insufficient establishment of schools. There were a serious difference according to school level on employment and income, and social reputation. So, the result of the difficult admissions to school was the entrance-examination-oriented education, and the establishment of private institutes and so on. The japanese colonial regime were going to control the entrance-examination-oriented education by regulating the criterion of entrance-examination, and resulted in the prohibition of public and private entrance-examination-oriented education. I had interpreted the origins of aspects on entrance-examination-oriented education were the colonial characteristics of the labor market and the system on the full mobilization of the nation.
