유사초월론 - 데리다와 이성의 탈구축 -

국문 초록

이 글은 자크 데리다의 철학, 특히 그의 사회ㆍ정치철학을 유사초월론의 관점에서 재해석하는 것을 목표로 삼고 있다. 데리다는 초기에서부터 말년에 이르기까지 늘 허무주의, 상대주의, 회의주의 같은 비판에 시달려왔으며, 이는 포스트모더니즘의 대표자 데리다라는 문구로 요약될 수 있다. 하지만 데리다는 자신이 포스트모더니스트라는 점을 강력하게 부인해왔다는 점에서 이는 부당한 비판이며, 더욱이 데리다 철학의 내적 논리를 고려할 때에도 이러한 비판들은 적절하지 않다. 우리는 유사초월론의 관점에서 데리다 철학을 이해할 경우 데리다 사상을 좀 더 일관되게 그리고 좀 더 적극적으로 파악할 수 있다고 생각한다. 유사초월론이라는 개 념은 데리다가 칸트에서 시작된 초월론 철학의 흐름에 속해 있으며, 그 문제의식을 더 급진적으로 발전시키고 있음을 보여준다. 단 유사초월론은 초월론적인 것과 경험적인 것 사이에 불변적인 위계를 설정하는 대신, 양자 사이에 상호조건의 관계를 설정하기 때문에, 초월론적인 것은 급진적으로 역사화된다. 이는 데리다가 이성과 정의의 문제를 아포리아의 관점에서 사유하는 이유를 더 잘 해명할 수 있게 해준다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to reinterpret Jacques Derrida’s philosophy, especially his political and social philosophy. Derrida has always suffered from criticisms ranging from the beginning to the end of his life, such as nihilism, relativism, and skepticism, which is summed up in the phrase Derrida, the representative of postmodernism. He, however, has strongly denied that he is a postmodernist, and even when considering the internal logic of his philosophy, these criticisms are not justified. We believe that if we understand the Derrida’s philosophy from the perspective of the quasi-transcendentalism, we can gain a more coherent and more positive understanding of his thinking. The concept of quasi-transcendentalism shows that Derrida’s deconstruction is part of a transcendental philosophy that started from Kant, and is developing the problematic more radically. But the quasi-transcendentalism, instead of setting up a permanent hierarchy between the transcendental and the empirical, sets the co-conditional relationship between the two. Consequently the transcendental is radically historicized. This gives a better explanation for the reasons why he poses the problems of reason and justice from the perspective of aporia.
