자폐스펙트럼장애 아동 개인미술치료에서 미술 치료사의 관계 맺기 체험에 관한 해석학적 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동 미술치료에서 미술치료사의 관계 맺기 경험을 이해하 고자 하는 것이다. 치료경력 최소 3년 이상의 미술치료사 10명을 심층면담 후 Max van Manen의 해석학적 현상학적 연구방법으로 분석하여 5개의 본질적 주제와 19개의 하위주제들이 도출되었다. 도출된 본질적 주제로는 ‘아동들과의 눈맞춤이 되지 않는 것과 무반응에 두려움을 느끼게 됨’, ‘통제되지 않는 상황으로 인해 좌절을 느끼며, 느린 관계변화와 똑같은 패턴의 작업에서의 답답함을 경험함’, ‘끊임없이 소통하려는 노력과 미술작업을 매개로 차츰 긍정적 변화가 오며 상호작용이 일어나고 관계 맺기가 시작됨’, ‘자폐스펙트럼장애아동과의 관계 맺기에서 중요 요인들을 인식하게 됨’, ‘관계 맺기를 경험하며 내담자만 변화하는 것이 아닌 치료사 자신도 같이 발전하고 있음을 느낌’이다. 자폐스펙트럼장애아동과의 미술 치료에서 치료사는 많은 좌절을 경험하지만 그들의 특성과 능력이 상이한 것을 인식하고 눈높이에 맞춰나가며, 특히 미술작업을 통한 상호작용에서 관계 맺기가 시작되는 것을 깨닫게 된다. 이 과정에서 치료사는 아동의 성장뿐 아니라 치료사 자신도 같이 성장함을 느끼게된다. 이와 같은 연구결론을 토대로 자폐스펙트럼장애아동에 대한 보다 많은 이해와 미술치료 안에서의 관계형성에 실제적인 도움을 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the experiences of art therapists in the art therapy of children with autism spectrum disorder. In-depth interviews were conducted with 10 art therapists with at least three years of experience and were analyzed in the hermeneutic phenomenological study method presented by Max van Manen. Five essential themes and 19 sub themes were derived and the conclusions of the study are as follows. The essential themes derived as such are; ‘became feel fear due to the inability to make eye contact with the children and the unresponsiveness of the children’, ‘became to feel frustration due to uncontrollable situations and experienced stuffiness due to slow changes in relationship and work in the same pattern’, ‘positive changes were gradually brought about through unceasing efforts to communicate and through the mediation of artwork leading to interactions resulting in the beginning of making relationships’, ‘became to recognize important elements in making relationships with children with autism spectrum disorder’, ‘experienced making relationships and felt that not only the clients but also therapists themselves were changing.’ Based on the conclusions of this study is considered to be capable of helping better understanding of children with autism spectrum disorder and providing actual help in the formation of relationships in art therapy.
