국문 초록

골각기는 생업영역에 따라 수렵구, 어로구, 채집ㆍ기공구로 나누어지며, 비실용구는 장신구와 의례구로 구분된다. 골각기 소재는 동물과 어류의 뼈 형태에 따라 좌우되고 규정되는 경향이 강하며, 특히 사슴뼈가 주요 소재로 사용된다. 남해안지역의 골각기는 동삼동, 범방, 연대도, 욕지도, 수가리패총 등의 예로 볼 때 전시기를 통해 생산과 관련한 생업도구로 지속적으로 사용되었는데, 기본적으로 생업환경에 유용하게 활용할 수 있는 자돌구류와 낚시 바늘, 작살 등 어로구를 중심으로 골각기 문화가 발달하고 전개 되었던 것으로 생각 된다. 특히 중기 단계에는 전후 시기와 달리 골각기의 기종구성과 사용양이 급증하는 양상을보이는데,그것은 기존의 생업구조 및 생계양식이 다변화되고 도구체계가 분화된데 원인이 있을 것으로 추정된다. 남해안지역의 골제 어로구는 아직 자료가부족하고 그 성격이 불투명한 점도 없지 않으나 기본적으로는 재지의 어로체계와 도구를 바탕으로 주변지역의 어로문화를 수용하면서 전개해갔던 것으로 생각된다. 그것은 삼면이 해양으로 펼쳐진 지리적 조건과 환경적 요인이 외부의 문화를 수용할 수 있는 배경으로 작용했기 때문이라 생각된다.

영문 초록

Bone Implement found in the South Coast regions are divided to hunting tools, fishing tools, and gathering/processing tools according to the category of living, and impractical tools to personal ornaments and ritual tools. The materials forB one Implement mainly depend on the forms of animal and fish bones, and especially deer bones are commonly used. Bone Implement found in the South Coast regions include Dongsamdong, Beombang, Yeondaedo, Yokjido, and Sugaripaechong, which indicates that they were continuously used as means for production in life throughout the history. Basically, the culture of Bone Implement was centered on fishing tools such as spear, fishing hook, harpoon, etc. Especially in the middle period, the kinds and usage of bone and shell made tools drastically increased, which seems to result from the diversified life style and living structure as well as the tool system as agriculture of miscellaneous cereals became common throughout the regions from the mid Jeulmun Pottery Period. Although data on bone fishing tools in the South Coast regions are not yet sufficient, and the characteristics are not quite clear, the research was conducted based on the fishing system and tools in accompanying the fishing cultures of the surrounding areas. It is thought that the geological conditions of the regions three sides of which face the sea and the environmental factors enabled the regions to accompany the external cultures.
