음악과의 좋은 수업에 대한 초등교사의 인식 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 좋은 수업의 일반적인 특징, 기준 및 조건 등을 고찰함으로써 음악과에 동일하게 적용되는 좋은수업의 특성을 탐색하고, 집단심층 면담(FGI)을 통해 ‘좋은 음악 수업’에 대한 초등교사들의 인식을 분석하여 음악교육을 위한 시사점을 제공하는 데 있다. 인식조사는 ‘좋은 음악 수업’의 ‘의미’, ‘요인’, ‘확산을 위한 방안’이라는 세 가지 범주에서 실시되었다. 참여교사들은 1) 좋은 음악 수업이란 ‘학생이 재미있어 하는 수업’, 체계적인 ‘수업 설계’에 기반한 수업, ‘음악적 감성을 자극하는 수업’ 등으로 응답하였고, 2) 좋은 음악 수업의 요인들로는 일반적인 좋은 수업에서 나타나는 요인과 함께 ‘음악과 특성에 따른 요인’이 반드시 필요한 것으로 응답하였다. 3) 좋은 음악 수업의 확산을 위한 방안으로는 교사, 학생, 환경 측면에서 응답하였는데, 특히 교사 측면에서는 음악수업 전문성이 확보되어야 할 것을 언급하였으며 이를 위해서는 교사중심 수업공동체의 활성화와 좋은 음악 수업의 사례를 공유할 수 있는 기회가 확대되어야 한다고 응답하였다. 그러나 범주별 논의마다 ‘수업설계’, ‘수업방법’, ‘수업성찰’, ‘상호작용’, ‘교사 전문성’ 등 다수의 요인들은 ‘음악과 특성’과 함께 반복적이고 연계적으로 언급되었다. 본 연구는 논리적인 틀에서 ‘좋은 음악 수업’에 대한 논의를 확장하고, 음악 수업을 바라보는 새로운 시각과 정리된 방향성을 제공한다는 점에서 의미를 가진다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to investigate the features of good instruction that equally apply to music studies by considering the general characteristics, standards and conditions of good instruction, and to provide implications for music education by analyzing the cognition of elementary school teachers regarding good music instruction, had done through FGI. An investigation of teachers’ opinions was done under the three categories of the ‘meaning , ‘factors and ‘methods for diffusion of ‘good music instruction . Participating teachers responded that 1) good instruction in music is ‘one that students enjoy , one that is based on a systematic ‘study plan , ‘one that stimulates musical sensibility etc. For 2) the factors of good instruction, the teachers replied that along with the factors that show up in general good instruction, ‘factors according to the characteristics of the music department are necessary. In the case of 3) methods for spreading good instruction, the response came from three aspects: teachers, students and the environment. In particular, from the teachers aspect, it was mentioned that music education specialty must be secured and to make this a reality, it was said that a teacher-based class community should be vitalized and that opportunities of sharing good instruction examples amongst one another should be expanded. However, whenever there is a discussion according to a category, issues such as ‘study plan , ‘study means , ‘interaction , ‘teacher professionalism etc. have been brought up repetitively and connectedly. This research has meaning in that it expands the discussion of good instruction in music within a logical framework and in that it provides an organized direction and a new perspective to viewing music instruction.
