국문 초록

since september 2000, the suicide-bomb attacks of palestinian have broken out around israeli settlements in east jerusalem, west bank and gaza. the cause of the present crisis is the increasing of the israeli settlements after oslo process. this dissertation examines the following question : what is the relations between oslo process in 1990s and the increasing of israeli settlements in occupied territories? the increasing of the settlements construction tells the falsehood that DOP, oslo Ⅰ,Ⅱ have created the peace between palestinians and the israel during same period. oslo process made the west bank a lot of cantons through the bypass and the israeli settlements. oslo agreements made by labour party was based on camp david accords in 1978 established by likud party that palestinians had not taken part in. this means oslo agreements were israeli program to control over west bank and gaza but not palestinian program. since the war of june 1967, israel authorities have the diverse constrution plans of israeli settlements and have contructed the more than 200 settlements in occupied territories . nearly 400,000 settlers have moved to east jerusalem. the israeli policy has been underpinned by the strategy of creating facts through the construction and thickening of settlements on chosen sites, in order to build an independent israeli entity within these territories. particularly the increasing figures of the constuction of settlements during the labour era are telling that the labour party's settlement policy was more intensified than that of the likud party's. from 1991 to 2000 the israeli settlers in these territories had been increased more than 100%. during oslo process, israeli settlements became the tool used by the israeli authorities in the west bank which was aiming for the israeli majority there. in the result, oslo process was not "land for peace" but was to legitimize the israeli occupying of these territories in reality. at last the palestinians were deeply disappointed by camp david projection in july 2000 that israel stood to legitimize its control over major west bank through the annexation of settlement blocs. and then the palestinians realized the reality of oslo process and started intifada against the outcome of oslo process.
