국문 초록

Objectives : The objective of this study is to examine doctrines on pulse diagnosis in order to minimize confusion and resolve questions that arise from the various different medical perspectives when studying pulse diagnosis related texts. Methods : The Maixuegangling chapter which acts as the overview of the Maixuezhengyi was examined focusing on the difference in basic perspectives of doctors throughout history. Zhang's commentary on this aspect was organized. Results : First, while the position for taking the pulse is the radial artery of the Lung Meridian, the Stirring Qi between the Kidneys was emphasized as the qi which is the origin of life activity. Second, the error on the number of breaths and blood channel circulation per day suggested by the Nanjing was corrected by means of Western Medical knowledge. Third, among opinions on the matching of the Six Bowels to the three pulse positions on the wrist, the third position was most disputed throughout history. The diagnostic position and diagnosis method of the Mingmun, Triple Energizer, Large Intestine, Small intestine and Bladder was thoroughly analyzed. Fourth, in the Renying and Qikou pulse diagnosis methods, the left and right for Renying and Qikou, respectively, from the Maijing was argued to be correct based on the idea that it is impossible to compare two pulse channels of different thicknesses. However, its logical reasoning needs improvement. Fifth, the meaning of the Fuyangmai and Taiximai is to check the pulsation in the foot area during fatal periods to ultimately decide whether there is any remaining root qi. Conclusions : The Maixuezhengli of Zhang Shanlei provides sound commentary on pulse diagnosis theories that have been highly disputed in medical history. It is a valuable source to apply to clinical settings.
