강원특별자치도의 의료 이용 현황에 관한 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 건강보험공단 및 건강보험심사평가원의 자료를 바탕으로 강원특별자치도의 보건의료이용 현황을 분석하였다. 강원특별자치도 전체와 원주시, 속초시의 지역별 인구 통계, 의료 이용 및 질병통계, 자체 충족률을 비교 분석하였다. 원주시의 인구 구성은 신도시 및 기업 도시에 집중화 현상을 보였고 원주시 최근 10년간의 인구증가율은 1.1%로 강원도 0.1%에 비해 증가 추세를 보임고 있으나 속초시의 경우 -0.1%로 감소하고 있다. 강원특별자치도의 다빈도 상병이 식중독과 같은 급성기 질환에서 근골격계 질환 및 결합조직 질환을 거쳐 ‘고혈압’, ‘당뇨병’과 같은 비감염성 만성질환의 형태로 서서히 변화하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 강원특별자치도 18개 시·군 의 자체충족률은 64.4%이다. 강원특별자치도 안에서 어느 도시에 거주하는가에 따라 의료의 혜택과 접근성에 차이로 의료 불균형 나타나고 있다. 이를 해소하기 위한 적극적인 의료정책이 시행되어야 하며 이를 위한 충분한 예산 반영이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the healthcare utilization status in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province based on data from the National Health Insurance Service and the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service. It compares and analyzes regional population demographics, healthcare utilization, disease statistics, and self-sufficiency rates for Gangwon Province as a whole, as well as for Wonju and Sokcho cities. The population composition of Wonju shows a concentration in newly developed cities and industrial areas. Over the past decade, Wonju's population growth rate has been 1.1%, showing an upward trend compared to Gangwon's 0.1%, whereas Sokcho's population has decreased by -0.1%. The most common diseases in Gangwon Province have gradually shifted from acute conditions such as food poisoning to musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases, and now to non-communicable chronic diseases such as 'hypertension' and 'diabetes'. The self-sufficiency rate in healthcare for the 18 cities and counties in Gangwon Province is 64.4%. Depending on the city of residence within the province, there are differences in healthcare benefits and accessibility, leading to healthcare imbalances. Active healthcare policies must be implemented to address this issue, and sufficient budget allocation is necessary to support these efforts.
